Magic: The Gathering Jurassic World Cards (Full List)

mtg jurassic world card list

It’s Magic: The Gathering’s 30th anniversary, with the game having originally launched in 1993.

Coincidentally, another huge franchise is also celebrating its 30th anniversary – as Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park came to the big screen in 1993 too!

So there’s perhaps no better time for MTG to bring the Jurassic World franchise to the world’s first – and still biggest – collectable card game.

Especially as their Aztec-style plane of Ixalan, complete with dinosaurs, is returning with The Lost Caverns of Ixalan this year!

So publishers Wizards of the Coast are releasing a mini-set of new cards featuring Jurassic World settings, creatures and characters – let’s take a look at all of the cards that have been revealed so far!

Jurassic World Card List

The Jurassic World mini-set is very small; though numbers on revealed cards go to 38, this does include several variants – there’s actually only 26 unique cards in the set, if variants are not counted.

There’s also at least one double-faced Saga card, as you can see above with the ‘Welcome to’ and ‘Jurassic Park’ images, side by side.

You can check out our guide on how to use double faced cards in Magic: The Gathering for more information on that card type.

There’s also a special card variant, known as ‘Emblem’ cards; one of these has been revealed – Indominus Rex, Alpha – and is pictured below.

Indominus Rex Emblem Variant MTG

As you can see from the above image, the difference with the Emblem cards is the foil Jurassic Park logo in the middle of the card.

Most of the cards in the set will have their own Emblem variant, though the double sided Saga card is at least one exception.

Will There Be More Jurassic World Cards?

In addition to the 30 Jurassic World cards that are releasing as a special mini-set alongside The Lost Caverns of Ixalan, MTG publishers Wizards of the Coast are also planning to release a pre-order only, special collector’s set of Jurassic World cards, as part of their Secret Lair program.

Aside from the image of a single card above, we currently have no further details on those – but we here at Card Gamer are very keen to check each of these cards out, so we’ll update and share more information as soon as we have it!

Where Can I Buy The Jurassic World Magic: The Gathering Cards?

The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Set Booster Box

Somewhat confusingly – and unlike more recent Universes Beyond crossover sets, such as The Lord of the Rings and Doctor Who – the Jurassic World cards are not being released in their own, standalone packs.

So in order to find them, you’ll need to pick up The Lost Caverns of Ixalan booster packs.

You’ll have a small chance of finding them in Set Booster packs, but you’re guaranteed to find a Jurassic World card in each Collector Booster – though be warned that Collector Boosters are very expensive.

If you’re looking to collect all of the Jurassic World cards, however – that’s your best option!

The Lost Caverns of Ixalan releases worldwide on November 17th – and pre-release events are being held in game stores on the 10th of November 2023.

You can check out where The Lost Caverns of Ixalan pre-release events are being held in your area, using the MTG store locator.
