The new mini-set brings with it several changes to the app. For starters, a few more Solo Battle challenges are now available. Players can expect to face off against Celebi ex & Serperior or Blaine & Volcarona, for instance.
Furthermore, the shop is now loaded with goods, but the main new offering is a Mew emblem. This emblem costs 100 Emblem Tickets which are obtained through completing various missions.
Speaking of missions, Mythical Island brings a ton of new ones to PTCGP. Themed collections like “Collect 3 Mew cards” or Deck missions that suggest players collect the main Pokémon ex cards all reward players with goodies.
Also of note, from December 17th through the 19th, players can receive twelve Pack Hourglasses per day just for logging in. This will help players begin to fill out their collection with Mythical Island cards or shore up their Genetic Apex collection. Whether they’re saved or spent, this offering of 36 Pack Hourglasses is a very generous freebie.
Finally, it is of note that Pack Points do not transfer between sets. As such, your Genetic Apex Pack Points will not be usable for any set except for Genetic Apex; you cannot use them for cards from Mythical Island.
A Good, Mythical Morning
With Mythical Island launching today, players will surely test out the new options they now have. As such, if you’re conducting Versus Battles today, expect to see many new cards on the field. Are you excited for this new Pokémon TCG Pocket expansion?
