Almost unbelievably, Archazia’s Island is Disney Lorcana’s seventh set, which really goes to show just how fast paced the release schedules are for modern Trading Card Games (or TCGs). It feels like Disney Lorcana’s debut set, The First Chapter, wasn’t released all that long ago. Then again, it’s also remarkable just how quickly Disney Lorcana gained a foothold in the TCG market, with accessible, clever game design, innovative mechanics (what other TCG lets you play solo and cooperatively?) and gorgeous card art.

The rarest cards, known as Enchanted Rares, tend to be the most sought after cards in any given set; perhaps unsurprising given that they’re found at the rate of 1 in every 72 booster packs. Does the situation remain the same for Archazia’s Island? Will our most wanted list consist solely of Enchanted Rare cards? Let’s find out!

10. Hiro Hamada, Armor Designer – Enchanted Rare, 214/204

The main protagonist of (very loose) Marvel adaptation, Big Hero 6, Hiro Hamada is featured deep in work on this Enchanted card, putting together a new suit of armor. Hiro’s stats and abilities are pretty impressive, so it’s not just the beautiful art that makes this card so sought after.

As a Floodborn character, Hiro Hamada has the Shift keyword, meaning that he can be played for a reduced cost of five Ink (rather than the standard seven) if played on top of another character named Hiro Hamada, in much the same way as you’d evolve a Pokémon card in the Pokémon TCG.

Not only that, but he can quest for three points of Lore, and he has 4 Strength and 6 Willpower too. This makes him a pretty formidable card to come up against even without his extra ability, which bestows the Evasive and Ward keywords to any Floodborn characters you have in play who have a card under them (via Shift, or any other means).

9. Jafar, Newly Crowned – Enchanted Rare, 210/204

Aladdin’s nemesis, Jafar, has been set up as the big bad of Disney Lorcana’s second story arc. This Enchanted Rare card shows him wearing the enormously powerful Hexwell Crown, which was kept from Sea Witch Ursula by players during Lorcana’s first story, culminating with Ursula’s Return.

Given that he’s come into focus as the main villain of the current storyline, not to mention the fact that he’s in possession of the Hexwell Crown, it’s no wonder that his Enchanted Rare makes it to the list of the most wanted Archazia’s Island cards.

He’s not all that powerful on the surface, however; two points of Lore, 2 Power, and 4 Willpower aren’t all that impressive, but he does only cost four Ink to get into play. His real strength, however, is that he can return Illusion characters his player owns to their hand, if they’re banished on the opponent’s turn.

This presents a very strong opportunity for building a deck around this ability, with Illusion characters able to be essentially resurrected during play!

8. Tramp, Enterprising Dog – Enchanted Rare, 212/204

Archazia’s Island has a strong focus on pets and animal companions, with the characters from classic animated Disney movie, Lady and the Tramp, making an appearance. So here we are with Tramp, depicted in the famous dinner date scene from the movie, on a highly sought after Enchanted Rare card.

He only has an Ink cost of two, but if you also have Lady in play, his cost reduces to just one Ink! Though his stats aren’t impressive at all in isolation, Tramp’s low cost and his ability make him worthwhile.

That ability triggers when Tramp is played; a chosen character gains +1 Strength for each other character you have in play, so the bonus can be significant if Tramp’s entrance is well timed.

7. Mickey Mouse, Inspirational Warrior – Enchanted Rare, 221/204

Mickey Mouse has been a staple of Disney Lorcana sets from the very beginning, so it’s no surprise to see him on this list. The charming illustration on this Enchanted Rare card features Mickey Mouse imagined as an armored warrior, charging into battle.

His stats are definitely underwhelming, but if players can find a way to utilize him properly, he can allow his player to play a character for free, any time that Mickey banishes another character in a challenge.

Given that he only has a printed Strength of 1, and 1 Willpower too, he definitely requires assistance from creative players.

6. Donald Duck, Flustered Sorcerer – 209/204

Another staple character of Lorcana since its inception, which is unsurprising given his longevity in general, Donald Duck appears twice in Archazia’s Island; once as a Lively Pirate, and again as this Flustered Sorcerer.

In this form, he has superb stats and a truly game changing ability; though he’s not cheap, with an Ink cost of seven, when in play he changes the victory conditions of the game for all opponents.

Winning Lorcana means being the first player to reach 20 points of Lore; however, Donald Duck’s “Obfuscate!” ability forces opponents to reach 25 points of Lore to win!

5. Bolt, Superdog – Enchanted Rare, 207/204

Just like Tramp, Bolt (along with many other animal companions and pets) appears multiple times in Archazia’s Island, with his Floodborn, Superdog persona featuring on this Enchanted Rare card.

He can be Shifted for a reduced Ink cost of three, and he has abilities that make him well worth getting in play. He can also be exerted in order to banish an Illusion character, though of course this is less effective against the Jafar card we’ve already seen.

What’s really special is that whenever Bolt is readied, his player gains one Lore for each other undamaged character they have in play, which can prove pretty powerful!

4. All Is Found – Enchanted Rare, 220/204

The only non-character card on this list, All Is Found depicts Anna and Elsa as children, sleepily snuggling with their mother. It’s an undeniably gorgeous illustration, and its appeal to collectors should be obvious just from its artwork.

A Song card, it can be played for free if a character with an Ink cost of five or more is exerted, and it allows players to take two cards from their discard pile and add them to their inkwell. Though they come into play exerted, it’s a great way of increasing available Ink from the next turn onwards.

3. Belle, Mechanic Extraordinaire – Enchanted Rare, 217/204

Easily the costliest card on this list at nine Ink, Belle can be Shifted, but even then, she’ll still cost seven. For that cost, you’d expect a very powerful card, and Belle doesn’t disappoint.

For one thing, her cost can be reduced even further with her Salvage ability; for each item in your discard pile, she can reduce her cost by one Ink. She has 7 Strength and 7 Willpower, and can also gain three points of Lore when questing.

Finally, Belle has another method for gaining Lore: whenever she quests, her player can put up to three item cards from their discard pile to the bottom of the deck. Each card moved to the deck in this way gains a further point of Lore!

2. Aurora, Waking Beauty – Enchanted Rare, 205/204

It’s Sleeping Beauty no more, with this Enchanted Rare card’s stunningly stylized art of Aurora waking up. With a Singer keyword, Aurora counts as cost 5 to sing songs (meaning that she pairs nicely with the All Is Found card on this list), and can be readied any time one or more damage is removed from a character. Though she can’t quest or challenge for the rest of the same turn, it does protect Aurora from being challenged herself.

You’ll notice that all Enchanted Rare cards, Aurora included, are numbered above the 204 cards that are in the Archazia’s Island set; with their numbering starting at 205, all Enchanted cards are also classified as “Secret Rares,” due to this numbering convention. This is a very common format for TCGs, which have a main set of cards that fit the set number, and then a selection of cards which tend to be variants of those found in the set, which are the Secret Rares.

1. Tamatoa, Happy as a Clam – Enchanted Rare, 219/204

Giant, treasure-laden coconut crab, Tamatoa (from the Disney movie Moana), or at least his Enchanted Rare variant, takes the top spot as the most wanted card in Archazia’s Island. He’s got a great pair of abilities: when he’s played, two item cards can be taken from your discard pile to your hand, and whenever he quests, an item can be played for free.

With 4 Strength, 5 Willpower and two points of Lore, he’s a fairly solid character from a stats point of view, too. Not bad for an Ink cost of six, especially given his ability to recycle item cards.

Of course, as we can tell from all of the images in this list, it’s generally the artwork and scarcity which makes these cards so sought after, and Tamatoa is certainly no slouch when it comes to how aesthetically pleasing his Enchanted card is!

So there we have it; the full list of the most desirable, highly sought after cards in Disney Lorcana set, Archazia’s Island.
