Introduced in Secrets of Power, Plot is a keyword which allows players to make use of cards in their resource area. The tragedy of losing useful cards to your resources in the early game of Star Wars Unlimited is a tragedy on par with that of Darth Plagueis the Wise. So let’s take a look at how to use it, and how it’ll allow you to retrieve your cards bearing the keyword to use them later in the game!
How Does Plot Work in Star Wars Unlimited?

Though broadly similar to the Smuggle keyword, Plot allows a player to play a card from their resources, but can only be used at the moment your Leader is deployed. Not only that, but you will still have to pay the printed resource cost of the card in order to play it. You then replace the played Plot card with the top card of your deck.
As long as you can afford to play them using your resources to pay, you can play multiple Plot cards at the time your Leader is deployed. Of course, it generally means that there will only be one point in the game at which this will be useful. However, there are cards that can bypass the Leader deployment restriction, to take advantage of Plot more often.

For example, check out the When Has Become Now card above. You can play it for a cost of 1, and it’ll allow you to play a Plot card from your resources immediately. Providing, of course, that you can also pay the cost of the Plot card with your resources! There are numerous other ways to play Plot cards, and it’s going to be really interesting to see how Plot affects the meta of Star Wars Unlimited when Secrets of Power is released.
