The long running One Piece saga is full of strong, female characters. So it comes as no surprise that a special booster set which focuses on the female characters in the cast would prove so popular. Which of the cards in the One Piece Heroines Edition set are proving to be the most sought after though? Let’s find out!
10. Tashigi – SP Super Rare, EB03-018
As with many characters in the One Piece saga, Tashigi’s allegiance can be somewhat fluid. The protégé of Smoker, one of the saga’s major antagonists, Tashigi seeks to collect all of the Famous Blades which are now in the hands of “evil men”. She’s even temporarily allied with the Straw Hats too!
9. Koala – SP Super Rare, EB03-042
An officer with the Revolutionary Army, Koala is a former slave who previously allied herself with the Sun Pirates. A skilled fighter, Koala is proficient in Fish-Man Karate, which is clearly referenced on this card’s portrait of her!
8. Perona – SP Super Rare, EB03-045
A naïve and childlike ghost princess, Perona is pictured here on this card with her familiar toy bear. Fun fact: Perona has katsaridaphobia, which is a fear of cockroaches. Of course, you can’t give a character a very specific phobia like that and not have it utilized in some way in the story. So of course Perona is definitely not happy when Usopp covers her with cockroaches, even if they are fake!
7. Uta – SP Super Rare, EB03-003
The adopted daughter of Shanks and a childhood friend of One Piece protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, Uta is often found on the lists of the most valuable One Piece cards. You can see why; the fun, colorful singer has a vibrant, appealing look, and her cards always look spectacular. In fact, you may even see her again on this very list!
6. Vinsmoke Reiju – SP Super Rare, EB03-031
An ally of the Straw Hat Pirates, Vinsmoke Reiju is, as her surname indicates, a member of the Reiju family. The only daughter in the family, she’s also a Princess and a Military Commander. And she’s only 24!
5. Nefeltari Vivi – SP Super Rare, EB03-024
Another princess, this time a member of the Nefeltari (sometimes Nefertari) family, Vivi is the daughter of King Cobra. Vivi hails from the Arabasta (or Alabasta) Kingdom, and was allied with the Straw Hat Pirates throughout the Arabasta Saga.
4. Boa Hancock – SP Super Rare, EB03-026
Another character whose allegiance has shifted over the course of the overall One Piece saga, Boa Hancock is a former slave, Princess, Warlord and Captain. She’s now an Empress, and rules the Kuja tribe with her siblings. She’s been an important ally of Luffy and the Straw Hats, and we frequently see her on lists of the most valuable One Piece cards!
3. Nico Robin – SP Super Rare, EB03-55
Known also as “Devil Child” and “Light of the Revolution”, Nico Robin is an important member of the Straw Hat Pirates. Having eaten a type of Devil Fruit known as the Hana Hana no Mi, she’s able to replicate her entire body, or parts of it, on any surface, at any time. She’ll often use this ability in combat, creating duplicates of her limbs to gain advantage against powerful enemies.
2. Nami – SP Super Rare, EB03-053
The Navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates, Nami is also one of the crew’s earliest members. Her card here is the final “SP” variant on this list, with SP meaning “Special Parallel”. SP cards are alternate art variants of others, usually found in the same set, and as you can see from this list as a whole, they all share a common aesthetic. Color schemes and objects relating to the character on the card give each one a distinct look, while sharing a common design overall.
