Meeska Mooska, it’s time for another look at Disney Lorcana! Since releasing only a few years ago, Disney Lorcana has become one of the most popular trading card games (or TCGs) ever. Disney fans have flocked to the game, entranced by its accessible gameplay and gorgeous card art. We began to wonder what the most valuable cards in Lorcana were at this stage in the game’s life, and checked out the current market on TCGplayer to find out. So without further ado, let’s check out the most valuable Disney Lorcana cards!
10. Captain Hook, Forceful Duelist – D23 Promo, 7
Initially revealed at D23 Expo, alongside other promo cards like Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor and Elsa, Snow Queen, this card was also released as part of the original Lorcana set, The First Chapter. There are several variants of the card which can be found for a cheaper price, but the D23 Expo variant is the most valuable of them all. Of course, it’s so expensive that it’s made it onto the list of the most valuable Lorcana cards!
9. Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor – D23 Promo, 1
Also part of the D23 Collector’s Set, as well as The First Chapter, is Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor, featuring the iconic character’s look from the Disney classic short of the same name. As is the case with the Hook card, the variant of this card with the D23 mark is extremely collectible and valuable. However, it holds a slightly higher value than the Captain Hook D23 card, hence its ranking on this list.
8. Elsa, Spirit of Winter – Enchanted, 207/204
Elsa, Spirit of Winter is an Enchanted Rare card; as these are alternate art variants found at the rate of 1 in every 72 Disney Lorcana booster packs, they’re always highly sought after. Their spectacular textured finish and foil treatment makes them an incredibly exciting pull from a booster too!
7. Maleficent, Monstrous Dragon – D23 Promo, 5
If you like Disney villains, this card is for you! Another from the set which was initially released at D23, this ultra-rare card’s appearance on this list really demonstrates the enduring popularity of the small set of cards released at that event! This card features one of Disney’s most iconic moments, with Maleficent in her monstrous dragon form. It’s absolutely iconic; speaking as a Disney fan, she’s my all-time favorite villain!
6. Minnie Mouse, Sweetheart Princess – Iconic, 241/204
Iconic was a rarity level introduced with Lorcana’s Fabled set, and these cards are even more difficult to find than Enchanted Rares! These are even more spectacular than Enchanted cards too; multi-layered, textured finishes with incredible foil treatments are what you’ll find on these gorgeous cards.
5. Let It Go – Challenge Tournament Promo, 2
“Let it go, let it go!” is what I’d be telling my wallet if I were to get my hands on this card. As with the vast majority of promo cards, you won’t find this in any of products at retail. In the case of this card, is was awarded as a prize at Disney Lorcana Challenge tournament events, which means that it’s very rare, and very valuable!
4. Elsa, Snow Queen – D23 Promo, 3
Another of the infamous D23 cards, just like the rest of the set, Elsa, Snow Queen was one of the first Lorcana cards ever publicly released, predating the retail launch of the game by several months.. Like the other D23 cards, it is very limited, and the D23 Expo stamp makes it distinct from the same card which appears in The First Chapter.
3. Stitch, Rock Star – D23 Promo, 2
Stitch and rock? You can’t ask for a better combo! The final D23 card to make it onto this list, it’s the most valuable of them all. Given the relatively low cost of the D23 set at the original event, if you bought it and you’re currently holding onto the set in your Lorcana collection, you must be very content with your purchase!
2. Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Prince – Iconic, 242/204
This card shows Mickey on a Ferris wheel with red kisses all over his face. If you check out the Iconic Minnie card from earlier in this list, you’ll see who’s showering Mickey with so much affection, as the two Iconic cards form a single piece of artwork when placed together!
1. Invited to the Ball – Challenge Tournament Promo, 6
At the number one spot on the list of the most valuable Lorcana cards according to the current listings on TCGplayer) is Invited to the Ball. As this card was given to the top competitors of the 2024 Lorcana championships, it was very difficult to earn, and is now so rare that it’s quickly become the most sought after Lorcana card!
