The Galarian Gallery cards in Pokémon’s Crown Zenith set are hugely popular, and for good reason. This subset, identified by the GG numbering in the bottom right of each card, features gorgeous, full art variants which acted as a visually stunning climax to the Pokémon Sword and Shield era. Let’s take a look at the most valuable cards in Crown Zenith’s Galarian Gallery!
10. Suicune V – Ultra Rare, GG38
First up on our list of the most valuable Galarian Gallery cards in Crown Zenith is Suicune V. As the Legendary Pokémon who appears on the cover art of 2nd generation game, Pokémon Crystal, Suicune is hugely recognizable and somewhat nostalgic for many players. So we’re not surprised to see this gorgeous card making an appearance on the list of the most valuable Galarian Gallery cards!
9. Glaceon VSTAR – Ultra Rare, GG40
VSTAR cards made their debut in the Sword and Shield era, and we haven’t seen them since the Sword and Shield sets came to an end. They were really interesting, because their VSTAR Power was often incredibly powerful, but could only be used once per game. Not only that, but you could only use a single VSTAR Power once; even if you had multiple VSTAR cards, you could still only use 1, and only once! Here we have Glaceon, a perennially popular Pokémon, as it’s an Eeveelution!
8. Mew – Ultra Rare, GG10
The final Pokémon in the Pokédex of the original game’s collection of 151, Mew is iconic and hugely popular to this day. This beautiful Galarian Gallery card is characteristic of the art you’ll find in the subset, featuring charming depictions of Pokémon outside of battle situations.
7. Leafeon VSTAR – Ultra Rare, GG35
Here we have another Eeveelution and another VSTAR card all in one, with Leafeon VSTAR. It’s also another card which showcases a Pokémon in their natural environment, and really plays to the strengths of the Galarian Gallery’s formula for gorgeous, nature documentary-style art.
6. Darkrai VSTAR – Ultra Rare, GG50
There’s a more sinister feel to this Darkrai art, though that’s pretty much due to the nature of the Pokémon itself. Darkrai first appeared in the fourth generation of Pokémon video games, and is described as the Pitch-Black Pokémon. It also has a habit of afflicting anyone in its vicinity with horrific nightmares, though doesn’t actually mean any harm.
5. Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR – Secret Rare, GG67
Though this Pokémon has been around since the fourth generation, Origin Forme Palkia debuted in the Switch game, Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It can be activated by giving Palkia the Lustrous Globe item. The card features a very fiery and dramatic illustration, which really sells the power of this particular Pokémon.
4. Origin Forme Dialga VSTAR – Secret Rare, GG68
There’s a similar feel to this Dialga card, with its fiery ambience. These VSTAR variants are at the Secret Rare level of rarity, making them scarcer, more visually spectacular and highly sought after. Origin Forme Dialga was also a variant which first appeared in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
3. Arceus VSTAR – Secret Rare, GG70
No surprises for guessing which game this Pokémon made its first appearance in. That’s right: Pokémon Legends: Arceus! Another VSTAR card, this Arceus variant is also a Secret Rare, and yet another card which features that spectacular, dramatic background.
2. Mewtwo VSTAR – Ultra Rare, GG44
This Mewtwo VSTAR card is probably our favorite in the Galarian Gallery overall. Though we’re usually a fan of the calmer scenes, this colorful, hugely exciting work of art is truly spectacular. We can easily see why it’s so close to the top of the most valuable Galarian Gallery cards!
1. Giratina VSTAR – Secret Rare, GG69
Finally, we have another atmospheric, moody piece of fiery, volcanic art with the Giratina VSTAR Secret Rare. This is the most highly sought after card in the entire Galarian Gallery subset. Though it’s not our favorite card, it’s the one that commands the highest prices amongst eager fans of the Galarian Gallery cards in Crown Zenith!
