Though Disney Lorcana’s ninth set, Fabled, is a jumping on point for new players, including many reprints of older cards that’ll help even experienced players get their hands on them, that’s not to say that there aren’t exciting cards in the set. There are always original art cards at higher rarity levels, and that’s what you’ll see on this list of the most valuable cards from the Fabled set. So let’s check out which Fabled cards are the most sought after by Lorcana fans!
10. Powerline, World’s Greatest Rock Star – Enchanted, 233/204
The idol of Goofy’s son, Max, Powerline is a rock star who first featured in A Goofy Movie, released in 1995. With the thirty year nostalgia cycle being a well known phenomenon, Disney know exactly what they’re doing in bringing Powerline (and other characters from A Goofy Movie) exactly three decades later!
9. Circle of Life – Enchanted, 225/204
One Disney movie that’s never relied on nostalgia is The Lion King, which has been perennially popular since its release in 1994. This lcard features gorgeous art of the King, Queen, loyal Rafiki and the newly born Prince, Simba. An iconic moment, from an iconic movie.
8. Scar, Finally King – Enchanted, 239/204
It feels like the darkest of jokes to follow a card celebrating the birth of Simba with one showing his uncle Scar gloating over his father’s skull! Circle of Life indeed.
7. Winnie the Pooh, Hunny Wizard – Enchanted, 227/204
Lorcana has three classifications for their characters (also known as “Glimmers”). Storyborn, Dreamborn and Floodborn are the different types of Glimmer you’ll find in Disney Lorcana; Winnie the Pooh, Hunny Wizard is classified as Dreamborn. What that means is that it’s a unique spin on a familiar character, playing on their expected traits without changing their nature in the process.
6. Hades, Infernal Schemer – Enchanted, 237/204
A slightly less dramatic Dreamborn transformation, Hades, Infernal Schemer sees the Greek Lord of the Underworld in triumphant, gloriously colorful form.
5. Lilo, Best Explorer Ever – Enchanted, 238/204
With Stitch himself often popping up on the lists of the most valuable Lorcana cards, it’s only fair that his best friend, Lilo, gets her time to shine too. So here she is, with this beautiful Enchanted card from Fabled!
4. Belle, Accomplished Mystic – Enchanted, 226/204
Of the three types in Lorcana, Floodborn characters are the most transformed from their usual selves. Here we have Belle, from Beauty and the Beast, as a magic-user seemingly taking control of her (and the Beast’s!) destiny, by removing the petals from the enchanted rose herself.
3. Dumbo, Ninth Wonder of the Universe – Enchanted, 228/204
Easily the most valuable Enchanted card in Fabled, even Dumbo’s standard, non-Enchanted variant has caused quite a stir, and is very valuable itself. Why is that, I hear you ask? Well, we’ve taken a closer look at this card, which many regard as the very best card in Fabled, and perhaps one of the best cards in Lorcana overall!
2. Minnie Mouse, Sweetheart Princess – Iconic, 241/204
There are now eight different types of card rarity in Lorcana. Two have been added to the previous six; starting with Fabled, you can now find Epic and Iconic cards in Disney Lorcana booster packs. Given that Enchanted cards were already scarce, with them only found at the rare of 1 in every 72 packs, it’s not hard to see why the Iconic cards have immediately become more valuable. With just two in each set, and with them being even rarer than Enchanted cards, these are likely to remain valuable for some time to come!
1. Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Prince – Iconic, 242/204
The second Iconic card from Fabled is what we have in the number one spot. With textured foil and raised elements on the card, these feel incredibly special, and the two Iconic cards from Fabled even make a singular piece of art when placed together. It’s no wonder that fans are so keen to get their hands on these Mickey and Minnie Mouse cards!
