Toggle10. Iris’s Fighting Spirit – Special Art Rare, 247/193

A great showcase for the Trainer Iris and her Pokémon, the Iris’s Fighting Spirit card is here in its Special Art Rare form. It’s worth noting that this list is, for the most part, refreshingly free of the usual Trainers and Pokémon that tend to dominate the most sought after cards, so let’s take a look at the rest of the cards that players are keen to find in their Mega Dream ex booster packs!
9. Canari – Special Art Rare, 248/193

Another Trainer, Canari’s Special Art Rare variant is a vibrantly colorful, instantly appealing card. You can see exactly why this one has made it onto the list of the most valuable Mega Dream ex cards!
8. Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex – Special Art Rare, 243/193

Despite the prominence of a Trainer in the artwork, this card is a Stage 2 Pokémon. Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex is a good example of an “Owner’s” Pokémon, which have made quite a resurgence in Pokémon this year.
7. Iono’s Bellibolt ex – Special Art Rare, 236/193

Speaking of which, this list features quite a few Owner’s Pokémon; here’s another! Iono’s Bellibolt ex features adorably cartoon-style art and the cute, cuddly Bellibolt itself. Just don’t get too close, or you might get a bit of a shock!
6. N’s Zoroark ex – Special Art Rare, 242/193

The detailed art on this N’s Zoroark ex card is pretty striking; you can see why this Special Art Rare is placed so highly on the list of the most valuable Mega Dream ex cards.
5. Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex – Special Art Rare, 237/193

One of the original 151 Pokémon, Mewtwo features here in moody, dark art with Team Rocket’s Giovanni leering menacingly in the background. Of course, the Mewtwo mirrors that sinister look, having been raised by the head of the nefarious Team Rocket!
4. Pikachu ex – Special Art Rare, 234/193

When we said this list was mostly free of the usual faces, of course we do still have Pikachu here! Wearing the Stellar Crown, this Pikachu is a reprint of a card from Japanese set Supercharged Breaker and its English equivalent, Surging Sparks. It’s so good, in fact, that it’s the card we thought was the best overall from Surging Sparks!
3. Mega Dragonite ex – Special Art Rare, 246/193

Like most other cards on this list, this Mega Dragonite ex is a Special Art Rare. It’s definitely a gorgeous card in terms of its artwork and the foil finish you find on Special Art Rares; it’s also not the only Mega Dragonite ex you’ll find on this list.
2. Mega Dragonite ex – Mega Ultra Rare, 250/193

Here’s the second Mega Dragonite ex card. This one is a Mega Ultra Rare; these are textured, gold foil cards with minimalist designs, and they look incredible. Though they aren’t always as highly sought after or as valuable as they should be, this one is very nearly the most valuable card in the Mega Dream ex set overall!
1. Mega Gengar ex – Special Art Rare, 240/193

However, the honor of the most valuable card in Mega Dream ex goes to this Special Art Rare variant of Mega Gengar ex. A kaleidoscopic splash of color and a brilliantly sinister Gengar are at the heart of this card’s appeal, and you can consider yourself very fortunate indeed if you find it in a Mega Dream ex booster pack!
