Most Valuable Edge of Eternities cards

With Star Wars Unlimited’s popularity seemingly soaring since its 2024 release, it was only a matter of time before Magic: The Gathering took players on a space opera-infused adventure at the far corners of the multiverse. That moment has arrived, with Edge of Eternities, the first ever space opera set for MTG. What are the most valuable cards in the Edge of Eternities set? Let’s find out!

10. Exalted Sunborn – Showcase, M0358

A White Creature card, Exalted Sunborn is a good start to our list! It’s a great card in its own right, but this full art, Showcase variant has such beautiful art that we aren’t surprised at all to see it make the list of the most valuable Edge of Eternities cards. Also, keep an eye out for a particularly interesting reappearance of Exalted Sunborn, further down this list!

9. Breeding Pool – Borderless, Galaxy Foil, R0373

Galaxy foil cards made their debut in the divisive Unfinity set. Though you can’t see just how good they look from our digital image of the card, you’ll have to trust us that the foil treatment on these cards looks great! This particular card is the beautifully alien Breeding Pool, with borderless art and the aforementioned galaxy foil to give it an extra special touch.

8. Devastating Onslaught – Showcase, M0361

Creating X number of tokens that are copies of artifacts or creatures under the player’s control, Devastating Onslaught lives up to its name in the right hands, at the right time. Its Showcase variant artwork is really cool, bringing to mind video games such as Wing Commander, with its starship cockpit viewpoint of beasts being unleashed into a battle!

7. Starfield Vocalist – Showcase, M0359

Wizards of the Coast know what they’re doing with these cards, right? Following the release of several hugely successful Hatsune Miku Secret Lair drops in 2024, Wizards of the Coast have introduced their own, original MTG vocaloid character! Another Showcase variant, it’s a gorgeous card and an obvious inclusion on the list of the most valuable Edge of Eternities cards.

6. The Endstone – Showcase, Fracture Foil, M0391

Though The Endstone gives players a serious advantage with card draw, that comes at a huge cost; at the beginning of its owner’s end steps, their life total is reduced significantly. If your strategy revolves heavily around card draw, The Endstone is a very useful artifact; otherwise, steer clear!

5. The Dominion Bracelet – Showcase, Fracture Foil, M0390

The anime-style artwork on this Showcase variant of The Dominion Bracelet is very eye-catching indeed. Though more elaborate and detailed than the art of Leiji Matsumoto, it was his space opera aesthetic that this card immediately reminded me of. It also has the fracture foil treatment, making it look even more eye-catching. Fracture foil was a treatment type introduced in the Duskmourn: House of Horror set, and it’s another which doesn’t translate at all well to digital images. The border has a silver finish, and the detailing on the foil looks somewhat crystalline. It’s no wonder there are numerous fracture foil-treated variants on this list!

4. Anticausal Vestige – Showcase, Fracture Foil, M0383

The artwork on this variant of Anticausal Vestige is stunning, and it’s a massive step up from the standard version of the card. A Showcase variant, it’s another card which is also enhanced by the fracture foil treatment.

3. Starfield Vocalist – Showcase, Fracture Foil, M0385

You didn’t expect just one appearance of the Starfield Vocalist from Edge of Eternities, did you? And well you should not, as a certain Jedi Master was known to say. Here we have the fracture foil variant of the Showcase card; it speaks to the popularity of this particular card’s art, as well as the fracture foil itself, that it appears so near the top of the most valuable Edge of Eternities cards list.

2. Icetill Explorer – Showcase, Fracture Foil, M0388

A card which fetches respectable values even in its standard variants, Icetill Explorer is yet another fracture foil-treated Showcase card. It’s also another card which really shows off the lavish production values of these cards; it’s no wonder it’s very nearly our most valuable Edge of Eternities card.

1. Exalted Sunborn – Showcase, Fracture Foil, M0384

Finally, our top spot on the list of the most valuable Edge of Eternities cards goes to the fracture foil variant of Exalted Sunborn. We told you that it’d make another appearance on this list, didn’t we? Given that Exalted Sunborn both opens and closes this list, we thought it fitting to quote George Lucas, about his own space opera saga: “It’s like poetry; they rhyme.” We can’t think of a more fitting way to end our Edge of Eternities list!
