Here at Card Gamer, we’re huge fans of Adventure Time. The Cartoon Network show originally ended way back in 2018, but has remained hugely popular, and has even returned with various spin offs since then. It’s also been popular in other media too, with a variety of comic book series and games keeping fans entertained. One of those games is Adventure Time Card Wars, by Cryptozoic Entertainment, which brought a game from an episode of the show to life, originally way back in 2014. It’s received expansions semi-regularly since then, and has now returned with even more stuff! Let’s check it out.

What is Adventure Time Card Wars?

Pictured above is the 2025 Ultimate Collection edition of Adventure Time Card Wars, which we played and covered in our review. In Adventure Time Card Wars, players choose a hero deck and face off against another player, for an easy to play, lane-based combat experience with just the right amount of depth.

What’s on Offer in the Latest Adventure Time Card Wars Kickstarter Campaign?

The short answer to that question is: so much! Three new 1v1 deck packs (shown above), new gameplay mechanics, playmats, accessories and much more besides. It’s very exciting for Adventure Time fans, and even for existing fans of Card Wars. Newcomers can pick up as much of the game as they want, with all previous content on offer, and existing fans can pick and choose from the new stuff!

There’s an awful lot of stretch goal bonuses too. As the campaign is currently at more than 800% of its funding target, many of these are unlocked and will be available to backers. There’s plenty more to go, and the campaign is on track to smash through all of these goals.
