The first new set for Disney Lorcana in 2025 is Archazia’s Island, which is due to bring some of the most exciting new additions to the game since Locations were added in Into the Inklands. What’s New in Archazia’s Island?
One big new element of Archazia’s Island which has caused a lot of excitement at Card Gamer is the introduction of Lorcana’s first dual Ink type cards. You can see in the card gallery that several dual Ink type cards have been revealed; there’s Amber and Emerald Lady, a version of Jafar which is Amethyst and Steel, and an Amethyst/Sapphire Sven. In the gallery and in the image above, you can see a version of Beast, along with a new Belle, will be arriving in the Archazia’s Island set, and that they’ll have both Ruby and Sapphire Ink types. Though we don’t have any insight as to how this will affect deck building, we suspect that the two color limit per deck will apply, and that both colors on a dual Ink card will need to be the only colors used.
Pets are also a focus in Archazia’s Island, and the super-powered dog, Bolt, is due to make his debut in the set, alongside characters from Lady and the Tramp, among many others we’ve yet to see. We also expect to see the arrival of the set’s titular Archazia, the very first original character due to appear in Disney Lorcana as a playable card.
What Is the Release Date for Archazia’s Island?
Release dates for previous Lorcana sets have all followed the same pattern; they’re released in local game and hobby stores first, then they reach online and national, general retailers two weeks later. Archazia’s Island will be released in the same way; local, specialist stores will have the set’s products on sale on March 7th, 2025, and a more general release will follow on March 21st.
