10 Most Expensive Disney Lorcana Cards Of 2024

Lorcana Most Valuable Cards

Hey Illumineer! Grab your magical ink, because we’re about to check out the most expensive Disney Lorcana cards.

When Disney Lorcana was announced in 2022, it’s fair to say that it caused quite a stir among Disney fans.

At Disney Expo D23 in September 2022, a small selection of cards were made available and ended up selling for crazy prices; though they were sold for $49.95 as the ‘D23 Expo Collector’s Set’, it didn’t take long for them to pop up online individually, with sellers taking advantage of the excitement around Lorcana to sell each card for thousands of dollars.

Though each card appeared in debut Lorcana set, The First Chapter, these D23 promo variants were printed with two special symbols, to indicate their status as cards from the D23 Expo and 1st Edition.

This situation has changed quite a bit as subsequent sets, and with them the spectacular Enchanted rarity cards, have been made available.

So, which cards are currently selling for the highest amounts?

Let’s find out, as we take a look at the most expensive Disney Lorcana cards!

1. Captain Hook, Forceful Duelist – D23, Promo ($1,300)

When I first compiled a list of the most valuable Disney Lorcana cards, it was way ahead of the game’s launch, and the interest around the cards was at astronomical levels.

The aforementioned D23 Promo cards, all seven of them, were the only cards available, so the list was ranked by which ones of those was commanding the highest prices.

What’s incredibly surprising is that, back then, Captain Hook, Forceful Duelist was at the bottom of the list overall, so it’s quite a turnaround to see it at the very top of the list, even after numerous sets of the main game are out in the wild!

Though the prices for cards when this list was first put together really were crazy (Captain Hook was selling for around $2,000, and that put him at the bottom of the list!), it’s still the case that a few of them are commanding pretty eye-watering amounts.

Currently, Captain Hook, Forceful Duelist’s D23 Promo version has a market value of around $1,300 according to TCGPlayer, which is what we’ve used to check out the current average prices of each card here.

Captain Hook, Forceful Duelist is a decent card that costs just 1 Ink to get into play, but you can also use him in your Inkwell as a resource too, if you choose to.

He’s not the most capable card with his base stats, having just 1 Strength and 2 Willpower, but he does get an extra 2 Strength when he’s Challenging, thanks to the Challenger +2 keyword.

Captain Hook also gathers one Lore point when Questing, so, even though he’s not exactly the strongest card, he’s certainly not bad given that he costs just 1 Ink to get him on your side!

Incredibly, if you do just want to use him in-game and not as a fancy, very expensive collectable, his standard card version costs around $0.05 on average.

Which is quite the disparity!

2. Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor – D23, Promo ($1,000)

Strangely, the Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor card was the most expensive card on our original most valuable Lorcana cards article.

So we’ve gone from the least valuable card on that list to the one that was commanding the most ridiculous prices at the time!

Back then, copies of Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor could (and were!) selling for around $4,000; currently, the average asking price is around $1,000.

It’s a much better card than the Captain Hook which occupies the top spot; however, it has an eye watering, in-game Ink cost of 8!

With 5 Strength and 5 Willpower, this version of Mickey isn’t hugely overpowered; however, being able to gather 4 Lore when Questing and having the Evasive keyword certainly makes it a very attractive card, despite how long it’ll take you to get into play.

Even its standard, non-D23 Promo variant isn’t the cheapest card out there; it currently has an average price of around $6.50, which of course is much more expensive than Captain Hook’s $0.05 version!

3. Elsa, Spirit of Winter – The First Chapter, Enchanted ($950)

From The First Chapter onwards, the Enchanted cards have proven themselves to be the most desirable, highly sought after and, therefore, most valuable cards in Disney Lorcana.

There’s a few good reasons for that; firstly, the cards look absolutely beautiful, with a spectacular foil finish that makes the extended, alternate art on the card look truly incredible.

Secondly, there’s the limited number of them; just 12 per set so far!

Finally, not to mention most importantly, there’s the fact that these cards are extremely rare; they’re found at the rate of roughly 1 in every 72 booster packs (as we’ve covered in our guide to Disney Lorcana pull rates).

Mix all of that together, then add a sprinkling of the stock problems that publisher Ravensburger had with The First Chapter, where demand far exceeded supply for several months after release, and you have the perfect recipe for very valuable cards indeed!

Currently selling for around $950, Elsa, Spirit of Winter has a non-Enchanted variant that sells for around $12, so if you’re after a card to use in your games of Lorcana, that’s undoubtedly the one to opt for.

In game terms, Elsa has an Ink cost of 8, a Strength value of 4, 6 Willpower and 3 points of Lore.

You can reduce Elsa’s Ink cost to 6 by using Shift, which is sort of like evolving Pokemon, in that you’ll need to put this Elsa on top of a different Elsa card when played.

Elsa also exerts up to 2 characters when entering play, and they don’t ready at the start of their owner’s next turn; this is a neat, cleverly thematic way of representing Elsa’s freezing abilities!

3. Cinderella, Ballroom Sensation – Rise of the Floodborn, Enchanted ($360)

Another beautiful Enchanted card, Cinderella, Ballroom Sensation hails from the second Lorcana set, Rise of the Floodborn.

It’s worth noting that Enchanted cards are what’s known as ‘Secret Rares’ in other Trading Card Games (TCGs).

The reason for that is due to the number on the card going above the ‘official’ number of cards in the set; in the case of Rise of the Floodborn, there are 204 cards in the set, but Cinderella is card number 205!

A big drop in value in comparison to Elsa, Cinderella’s card is currently selling for around $360; her standard art variant is much cheaper, of course, at around $3.

In terms of using Cinderella in-game, she has a cost of just 1 Ink in order to be played.

Thart’s not surprising, given that she only has 1 Strength and 2 Willpower, as well as just 1 point of Lore for Questing.

However, she counts as a cost of 3 when singing Songs (another card type in Lorcana), thanks to the Singer 3 keyword; this makes her a low cost way of getting decent Songs played, when they’d be otherwise inaccessible!

4. Ursula, Deceiver of All – Into the Inklands, Enchanted ($350)

The third set to be released for Lorcana, Into the Inklands, brought an exciting new element to the game: Location cards. You can check out how to use those in our guide, here.

Into the Inklands has also brought us this: the amazing Enchanted Ursula, Deceiver of All card.

It’s currently selling for around $350, and even its standard variant is priced higher than you’d expect, with the non-Enchanted card’s average value sitting at $31.50.

With an Ink cost of 3, 2 Strength, 3 Willpower and 1 Lore, Ursula doesn’t look great at first glance.

Yet there’s a reason that even her standard card is so highly sought after: her ability allows you to sing a Song, then immediately sing it again, for no cost, from your discard pile.

Depending on the Song used, this can genuinely turn the tide of a game!

5. Belle, Strange But Special – The First Chapter, Enchanted ($300)

One of the Enchanted cards from The First Chapter, Belle, Strange But Special is currently selling for around $300.

It’s a Sapphire card, with Sapphire being one of the 6 Lorcana Ink types alongside Amber, Amethyst, Emerald, Ruby and Steel.

Belle’s standard card variant isn’t particularly cheap either, with the non-Enchanted card selling for around $22.

A 4 Ink cost card, Belle, Strange But Special has 2 Strength, 4 Willpower and 1 point of Lore.

Her abilities are what make her truly shine as a standout card, however; firstly, each turn she’ll allow you to add an extra card to your Inkwell.

This is incredibly powerful in conjunction with the right cards, as it allows you to really accelerate the resources you have available and stay a step ahead of your opponent all the way.

Secondly, once you have 10 or more cards in your Inkwell, Belle is able to Quest for an extra 4 Lore per turn, giving her 5 Lore in total.

As you only need 20 Lore to win a game of Disney Lorcana, it’s not difficult to see Belle assisting players with a comfortable win whenever she’s played!

6. Stitch, Carefree Surfer – The First Chapter, Enchanted ($280)

Stitch Enchanted Card

Here’s where I get to show off a bit, because Stitch is the only Enchanted card I’ve ever managed to find in a Disney Lorcana booster pack, as you can see from the photo above!

Given that Enchanted cards are 1 in 72 packs, that’s perhaps not shocking; however, the fact that I found this in the first 6 Lorcana booster packs I ever bought was definitely a welcome surprise.

It’s valuable too, currently selling for aound $280. Even the non-Enchanted card seems to have held a pretty decent value, at around $13!

Stitch, Carefree Surfer helps with a problem that many new Lorcana players face: having a lack of cards in your hand. He does this with his ability, which allows you to draw two cards when you play him, as long as you have 2 or more other characters in play.

With 4 Strength, 8 Willpower and 2 Lore, he is a pretty decent card, in terms of his stats.

However, he does seem a tad overpriced in-game, with an Ink cost of 7.

Speaking of the number 7, let’s take a look at what made it to the number 7 spot on our list!

7. Tinker Bell, Giant Fairy – The First Chapter, Enchanted ($250)

I hear you: isn’t Tinker Bell really small?

In the story of Peter Pan, yes she is. However, in the world of Disney Lorcana, in which ‘Glimmers’ of familiar characters are summoned using enchanted ink by the players, they can be changed in many different ways.

Tinker Bell is a Floodborn character, which means that she’s essentially evolved from her original form.

In gameplay terms, Floodborn characters have the Shift keyword; this allows them to evolve a non-Floodborn character into their new form, for a reduced cost to play the Floodborn card as a bonus.

You can check out more details in our guide to Storyborn, Dreamborn and Floodborn characters in Lorcana.

In any case, this Tinker Bell, Giant Fairy card, at least in its Enchanted form, is worth around $250 on average.

Its standard variant is much more reasonable, at around $11.

Tinker Bell has a cost of 6 Ink, though this is reduced to 4 with the usage of Shift. She also has 4 Strength, 5 Willpower and 2 Lore, making her a pretty good all rounder.

Her abilities truly make her a force to be reckoned with, even when she enters play.

That’s because she deals 1 point of Willpower damage to each opposing character when she’s played!

If she manages to banish another character during a Challenge, Tinker Bell will also deal 2 damage to an opposing character of your choice.

So yes, Tinker Bell is meant to be small; yet this card shows that she can cause pretty big damage in the right hands!

8. Mickey Mouse, Wayward Sorcerer – The First Chapter, Enchanted ($246)

Given that he’s Disney’s flagship character and mascot (and that he’s now 100 years old!), it’s perhaps no surprise to see Mickey Mouse making multiple appearances on the list of the most valuable Disney Lorcana cards.

The Enchanted version of Mickey Mouse, Wayward Sorcerer sells for around $246; though that’s far below the value of the D23 promo version of Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor, it’s certainly not cheap!

If you do want to get your hands on a Mickey Mouse, Wayward Sorcerer for use in your Lorcana games, however, you’re better off sticking to its standard version, which will only cost you around $1!

Mickey’s 4 Ink cost seems pretty reasonable given his stats: 3 Strength, 4 Willpower and 2 Lore.

He also allows you to play Broom characters for 1 less Ink each, as well as returning a Broom character to your hand when it’s banished in a Challenge, instead of discarding it!

9. Aurora, Dreaming Guardian – The First Chapter, Enchanted ($225)

With an Ink cost of 5, Aurora’s 3 Strength, 5 Willpower and 2 Lore gives her pretty solid stats at a fair cost.

However, as she’s Floodborn, she also has Shift; which means she can be played for just 3 Ink!

She also has an ability that she bestows upon your other characters in play, giving them the Ward keyword. This means that they can’t be chosen for any card effects, and your opponent can only Challenge them.

So she’s very useful in-game, though this card’s value, currently at $225, is far more likely due to its wonderful art.

Given her excellent potential for your Lorcana deck, you’ll also be pleased to discover that her non-Enchanted card is valued at around $0.60, so unless you really must have the Enchanted variant (which is stunning, let’s face it!) Aurora isn’t difficult to acquire.

10. Robin Hood, Champion Of Sherwood – Into The Inklands, Enchanted ($200)

Robin Hood - Lorcana Enchanted Card

Disney’s animated version of the Robin Hood legend featured a cast of anthropomorphic animals, with the lead character depicted as a wily fox.

He’s never looked as heroic as he does here, on an Enchanted Lorcana card that currently sells for around $200.

Hailing from the Into the Inklands set, this card has an Ink cost of 5, 3 Strength, 6 Willpower and 2 Lore.

It’s another Floodborn character, so of course Robin Hood’s Ink cost can be reduced, in this case down to just 3 Ink.

He’s really useful; whenever he banishes another character in a Challenge, you gain 2 Lore points.

If he’s banished in a challenge himself, you may draw a card.

Win win, right?

So it’s no surprise that Robin Hood, Champion of Sherwood is relatively expensive even as a non-Enchanted card; his standard variant is currently selling for around $40!

With more sets of Disney Lorcana on the way, no doubt this list will continually change – so watch this space!
