Just when you think it’s safe to go back in the water – here comes our Pokemon Raging Surf card list!
Japanese Pokemon Trading Card Game set, Raging Surf, is available – and we have the full list of cards you can expect to see in booster packs.
Table of Contents
ToggleHow Many Cards Are There In Pokemon TCG: Raging Surf?
Raging Surf is a smaller set than we’re used to – there’s just 62 cards as part of the general collection – but that doesn’t include Secret Rares.
With Secret Rares, the number of cards in the Pokemon Raging Surf set rises to 92 – that’s right, there’s an extra 30 cards that go beyond the set’s ‘official’ numbering!
What Special Cards Are Included In Pokemon TCG: Raging Surf?
Aside from the aforementioned Secret Rares – which look to be beautiful, full art variants of other cards, we’re also going to see the return of a recently introduced, special type of Pokemon card.
That’s right, continuing from the ‘Ruler of the Black Flame’ set, which released outside of Japan as Obsidian Flames, we’re going to be treated to more Tera-type Pokemon in Raging Surf.
So, just like Obsidian Flames and its type-shifted Pokemon (such as the incredibly popular Tera Charizard being Dark type instead of Fire), you can expect to see more Pokemon outside of their normal type appearing in Raging Surf – all of which we can take a look at now!
Will Pokemon TCG: Raging Surf Be Released Outside Of Japan?
Yes, we will be seeing these Raging Surf cards popping up in localised versions – but outside of Japan, they’ll be part of the Paradox Rift set, which is set for release in the West on November 3rd, 2023.

What’s special about Tera Pokemon?
Tera Pokemon have their types changed from the one they’re usually associated with.
For example, Froslass is usually Water type, but appears in Raging Surf as a Grass type.
As for Garchomp, it’s normally Colorless or – more commonly – a Dragon type Pokemon. However, in Raging Surf, the Tera Garchomp ex has actually shifted to being a Water type Pokemon, albeit with Fighting type attacks.
Hoopa is a Fighting type in its Raging Surf Tera incarnation, but is usually Dark type.
Are Other New Card Types On The Way In Raging Surf?
From what we’ve seen, Tera Pokemon are the only unusual card type making their return in Raging Surf – but we also know that Ace Spec cards will be back in Paradox Rift.
The Raging Surf set’s cards will be heading out of Japan as part of the Paradox Rift set we’ll see in the West, so these Ace Spec cards will appear alongside all of the cards we’ve listed above.
Check out our Ace Spec Pokemon card article for more on those!
So there you have it; that’s all of the currently available information we have for the upcoming Pokemon TCG set, Raging Surf.
