It’s a collaboration a long time in the making, but we’ve finally got our first glimpse at the new Lego Pokémon sets, which eager Pokéfans, along with a healthy contingent of AFOLs (that’s “Adult Fans of Lego”, for the uninitiated) will no doubt be clamouring to get their hands on.
Three sets are due to be launched in the first wave of Lego Pokémon collaborations. So let’s take a look at what we’ve seen so far!

ToggleWhich Pokémon Will Feature in the First Three Lego Pokémon sets?

It’ll be no surprise that the Pokémon chosen for the first collaboration with Lego are iconic, perennially popular Pokémon. Each of them appeared as part of the original collection of 151 Pokémon from the very first video game. First up, we have the de facto mascot of Pokémon, Pikachu. An impressively sized, 2050 brick set, the yellow, electric mouse can be posed seated alongside a closed Pokéball, or leaping from an opened Pokéball. The lightning bolt-shaped base, in Pikachu’s yellow-and-black color scheme, adds further flair to this beautiful set. This gorgeous set’s price may shock you, or may not if you’re a seasoned AFOL already; it’ll cost you $199.99 upon release.

Next up is the set featuring the final forms of all three of the very first starters in the Pokémon video game series: Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. This stunning set is comprised of a phenomenal 6838 pieces, with each of the figures having their own articulation, as well as standing on their own biome as part of the base. Prepare to make your wallet cry; this set will cost a jaw-dropping $649.99.

The final set of this first wave of Lego Pokémon is Eevee. The smallest of the three sets, it’s comprised of 587 pieces, and has a movable tail, as well as a poseable head and limbs. This set will cost $59.99.
When Will the Lego Pokémon Sets Be Released?

The release date for all three sets is the 27th of February, and they will be available internationally. Pre-orders have now opened; eager fans can secure their sets on LEGO.com, in Lego stores, and from Pokémon Centers internationally too.
A Scavenger Hunt competition has also launched, and runs until release day. Fans can look for hidden Lego Pokémon clues online, to unlock exciting rewards and with a Grand Prize of attending PokémonXP and the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco, as well as all three of the new Lego Pokémon sets! Details on the Scavenger Hunt can be found here.
