Yu-Gi-Oh, like most other TCGs, have a lot of different rarities for cards that make them more sought after, or that make them more available to a certain crowd of people. The following rarities are the standard rarities within the game of Yu-Gi-Oh itself:

- Ultimate Rare
- Prismatic Secret Rare
And now, Konami is introducing the world to the Quarter Century Secret Rare. But what is this new rarity? When can you expect to see it? What cards will be available in this new rarity? We’ve got all the answers that you need to these questions!
What Is The Quarter Century Secret Rare?
The Quarter Century Secret Rare is a newer rarity being introduced for the 25th anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh. It’s only for set cards, and likely only going to be around for the 25th anniversary year itself, so it’s worth picking up as many sets this year as possible just to see if you might be able to pull all of the quarter-century secret rare cards.
After all, there’s unlikely to be a chance to get a card like this again, and if the special cards such as ‘Ten Thousand Dragon’ are anything to go by, then they’re going to cost a small fortune to buy after the original run of the cards themselves.
What Sets Will The Quarter Century Secret Rare Be In?
The Quarter Century Secret Rare rarity will first be available in Battle of Legend: Monstrous Revenge, a booster set releasing in June of this year. Although, if you’re looking outside of the traditional booster set format, then you’ll see the cards in copies of the Legendary Collection, a set reprinting six booster packs of classic Yu-Gi-Oh sets.
In terms of main Yu-Gi-Oh cards though, you’ll see the rarity in Duelist Nexus, a set launching in July of this year. That set will contain only one quarter-century secret rare per box, but 24 other cards in that set will also be available as a quarter-century secret rare, meaning that you could get lucky and get a brand new card in the rarity.
What Cards Are Available In Quarter Century Secret Rare?
We don’t actually have a full list of quarter-century secret rare Yu-Gi-Oh cards yet, but we do know SOME of the cards that will be printed in this new rarity. These cards include:
- Rite of Aramesir
- Welcome Labynth
- Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS- Sky Thunder
- Pot Of Greed
- Ash Blossom and Joyous Spring
- Dark Magician
- Blue-Eyes White Dragon
- Red-Eyes Black Dragon
- The Winged Dragon of Ra
- Slifer the Sky Dragon
- Obelisk the Tormentor
You’ll recognize a lot of these cards, as they’re all cards that either have an important place in the Yu-Gi-Oh anime or in the Yu-Gi-Oh card game itself, but this isn’t all of the cards that will be available in the new rarity.
