The Homeworlds set for Star Wars Unlimited introduces the Fortify keyword. Let’s take a look at how it works, in our guide to using Fortify!
How To Use Fortify in Star Wars Unlimited

Though cards with the Fortify keyword can have vastly different effects from card to card, they all have something big in common. The Fortify keyword itself allows you to attach a card directly to your base, in the same way that other, non-Fortify upgrade cards attach to units. When the ability is used on a Fortify upgrade card, it is defeated. That means it goes straight to the owner’s discard pile.

The above card, The Tarkin Doctrine, can use its abilities at different times. For example, when played it allows you to give an enemy unit -3/-0 for the current phase, as long as you control Grand Moff Tarkin. It also allows you to exhaust an enemy unit each time you play a Fortification upgrade card!
Of course, these are just a few examples of the Fortify keyword in Star Wars Unlimited. We’re looking forward to seeing more of them revealed as the release of Homeworlds draws near.
