Secret Lair Drops for Magic: The Gathering tend to feature a small number of special cards. However, with the latest Dungeons & Dragons collaboration, publishers Wizards of the Coast have gone all out, with no less than seven separate sets of Secret Lair cards. Let’s check them out, as we take a look at the Secret Lair x Dungeons & Dragons Super Drop!

ToggleShadowheart’s Devotion
First up, we have a set of cards which contains a reprint of a hugely popular and iconic card: Beseech the Queen. A card which still commands relatively high prices in its various printings, this new, D&D-themed variant is likely to prove just as highly sought after:

Gale’s Ambition
Featuring Arcane Denial and Brainstorm, more cards which have proven very popular in many different sets, the Gale’s Ambition subset’s cards are as follows:

Shadows Over Baldur’s Gate
Despite the infinite vastness of worlds in D&D, it seems that Baldur’s Gate, located on the Sword Coast, is a place that constantly pops up. Baldur’s Gate was even the setting for a full Magic: The Gathering set. We arrive in the town again with this Secret Lair drop; here are the four cards from Shadows Over Baldur’s Gate:

Whispers in Candlekeep
Another location on the Sword Coast, Candlekeep is a setting which is very familiar indeed. This is partly because the Sword Coast itself is very evocative of D&D in general. The Library/Fortress of Candlekeep is represented in this Secret Lair Drop with these four cards:

Strahd’s Descent
The horror-tinged setting of Ravenloft and its most notorious inhabitant, the vampire Count Strahd, has been hugely popular in D&D since the 80s. Yet it hasn’t fully featured in Magic: The Gathering until now, with this Secret Lair Super Drop focusing on Strahd himself, with gorgeous, comic book style artwork:

Black Lights & Dark Dungeons
Personally, these are the cards that I’m the most interested in. With their distinctively psychedelic aesthetic, these cards feature the kind of artwork you’d expect to find on the side of a beaten up old van, or painted onto a carnival ride. The text isn’t particularly clear, of course. However, with the collectible nature of Secret Lair cards, you’re hardly likely to see these cards in anyone’s deck:

Lands of the Forgotten Realms
Finally, we have a set of Land cards which feature beautifully painted locations from the Forgotten Realms. Unlike the other Secret Lair sets on this list, there are two copies of each card included, rather than just one:
