What Is a UniVersus Blitz Box?

What's inside the UniVersus Blitz Box? Find out in our guide, as we check out the new way to pick up cards for the long-running UniVersus TCG!
UniVersus Blitz Box

Card game UniVersus has been around for 20 years, and in that time it’s experimented with many ways to get its cards into the hands of new and experienced players. The latest is the Blitz Box, and if you’re wondering what exactly you’ll find inside one, let’s check it out!

What Is Inside a UniVersus Blitz Box?

Introduced with the Guilty Gear -Strive- set for UniVersus, the Blitz Box is a compact package containing 12 booster packs. That’s it! So it’s essentially half of a booster box; it’s a great way of getting a good number of packs into the hands of fans, without the full cost of a booster box being the only option for multiple pack purchases.

Will the Blitz Box Return for Future UniVersus Sets?

We don’t know this yet, but it would seem to be a good solution for the smaller sets that UniVersus release. For example, we sometimes see Challenger Series decks, each containing a single collector booster, with that being the only way to acquire any cards beyond the fixed selection in each deck. This is the case in the Street Fighter 6 decks shown above, and for numerous other UniVersus sets too. Wouldn’t it be better if there were more opportunities to find some of the cooler cards in a set, without having to buy multiple decks just to get a single pack?

So yes, we can totally see Blitz Boxes becoming a more regular thing in UniVersus, and of course, we’ll be covering them as and when they’re released!
