The first 2025 set for Disney Lorcana, Archazia’s Island, is due to be released in March, with previews for the set announced to begin on February 10th. However, at the Disney Lorcana Challenge North American Championship, some details for the set appeared to be accidentally revealed, and were quickly removed from the Disney Lorcana marketing website. What new information have we seen? Let’s take a look!

ToggleDual Ink Type Cards
Ravensburger has been admirably restrained with regards to adding new mechanics and features to Disney Lorcana, with the biggest addition so far, Location cards, arriving way back in the third set, Into the Inklands. The arrival of Lorcana’s seventh set, Archazia’s Island, is heralding perhaps one of the most fundamental changes to the game yet, with dual Ink type cards.
If you’re already familiar with Lorcana’s basic mechanics, you’ll know that you can only use a maximum of two different Ink colors in your deck, and each card is colored with one type of Ink (Amber, Amethyst, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire or Steel).
Excitingly, however, that seems set to change with the arrival of the Archazia’s Island set. In the image above, showing Beast and Belle, you can see that each of the cards has two colors: Ruby and Sapphire. While we don’t yet know how this will affect gameplay or deck building, we suspect that the two-color limit will still apply overall, so if you use either (or both) of the two cards shown above, your deck will need to be composed of Ruby and Sapphire cards.
What Else Is New in Archazia’s Island?
Along with characters from 2008 Disney movie Bolt and 1955 classic Lady and the Tramp, the Archazia’s Island set will introduce the Vanish keyword. As with other additions to Lorcana, keywords have been added at a steady rate; we don’t yet know if Vanish is the only new keyword to arrive in the seventh set, but it’s certainly a very interesting one.
As you can see on the Iago card above, Vanish is explained as follows: When an opponent chooses the character with Vanish for an action, they are banished. It seems that this would be a very effective defense against any targeting, for any action in-game, due to the risk of the active player’s card being immediately removed from play.
When Will Archazia’s Island Be Available?
Following the same release pattern as previous sets, Archazia’s Island will be available at local hobby stores on March 7th, with an online and national retail release following two weeks later, on March 21st, 2025. You can find your local Disney Lorcana stockist using the official store locator.
