Horror-themed trading card game, Hellbreak, brings all kinds of movie monsters together for some seriously bloody carnage. We’re very excited about Hellbreak, as it’s the first new horror-themed TCG to be released for a very long time. Let’s check out the different card rarities you’ll find in Hellbreak.
Table of Contents
ToggleCommon Cards in Hellbreak

We start with common cards, which you’ll see in just about any TCG. In Hellbreak, as in other TCGs, common cards are the most numerous in any booster pack, and tend to be the cards with the most basic abilities. Many common cards can end up being staples in decks, however, so they shouldn’t be overlooked! Here we have The Bride’s Monster card, with the C for Common shown in the bottom right. Monster cards are double sided, beginning the game as Lurking and turning over to Unleashed when a player wants to switch to an attack strategy!
Uncommon Cards in Hellbreak

Uncommon cards are the next most frequently found rarity in booster packs. Here we have the Daredevil card, showcasing the steed used by the Headless Horseman in Sleepy Hollow. Again, you can see the card designation on the bottom right of the card; for uncommon, it is of course a U. Daredevil is a Minion card; unlike Monster cards, Minions are single sided.
Rare Cards in Hellbreak

Next up, we have rare cards. These have an R in the bottom right corner. The example here is the Event card, A Panic on Our Hands, featuring a famous scene from Jaws. Rare cards are less frequently found, and have more powerful, specialized effects than common or uncommon cards.
Legendary Cards in Hellbreak

Here we have a Legendary card, designated L in the bottom right, featuring Lee Abbott from A Quiet Place as a Minion. Interestingly, there are no Legendary cards in Hellbreak’s Dracula vs Jaws Starter Set. Which shows that these will be the cards that more advanced players build into their decks. According to the official Hellbreak website, Legendary cards will be “Highly-sought after cards featuring major characters and moments.” We can’t wait to see which other cards feature under the Legendary rarity in Hellbreak’s first set, Dawn of Terror.
Infamous Cards in Hellbreak

The Infamous card rarity in Hellbreak has an I in the bottom right corner. Infamous cards will feature the most iconic characters, and are said to be very difficult to find. We have an example of an Infamous card above, which will also be in different variants; for example, this is the borderless variant of the Infamous Dracula Minion card.
Special Cards in Hellbreak

Finally, we have the Special rarity, identifiable with an S in the bottom right corner of the card. These will be alternate art variants of other cards in the set, so here we have the Unleashed side of the Dracula Monster card, with an alternate art, borderless foil treatment. These are sure to be the most highly sought after cards in Hellbreak!
We have taken a look at the Jason Voorhees cards for Hellbreak too! Want to see other horror themed games? Check out our Halloween game recommendations!
