Konami have announced a remake of the classic RPG, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3, to be released via Steam and Nintendo Switch on February 16th, 2027. Retitled Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX, the new edition will feature enhanced dueling and modern visuals.

The game also contains more than 3800 cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX era, which is sure to be quite the nostalgic experience for long term fans. Especially as the game this new remake is based on, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3, was released way back in 2008.

Yu-Gi-Oh! fans who purchase the Steam version of Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX will receive a bonus pack of digital items. This includes a digital book, along with wallpapers and icons as well. However, the physical Nintendo Switch version will be packaged with three special TCG cards. Most excitingly, wo of these are making their physical debut here, which is surely going to make them incredibly sought after by Yu-Gi-Oh! fans.

The three cards included in the physical edition of Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX are as follows:

• Yubel (Alt Art, Starlight Rare)
• Wicked Canon (Ultra Rare)
• Hope for the Future (Ultra Rare)

Both Wicked Canon and Hope for the Future are the cards making their physical debuts. Additionally, Switch players will be able to unlock these cards digitally with a code they’ll receive for pre-ordering Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX. This code will also give them an in-game Winged Kuriboh mate, as you can see in the below image.

Though Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX remakes only the third title in the series, fans will be able to use the in-game gallery mode to watch story scenes from the first two Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force games. Additionally, online multiplayer will be included, with 1v1 or Tag matches available to play against real world opponents.
