Riftbound Show Off Rules: How Does Show Off Work in Riftbound?

Riftbound's Radiance set marks the debut of three keywords, including Show Off. Let's find out how the Show Off keyword works!

The general theme of Riftbound’s fifth set, Radiance, is performance. Of all the new keywords, which include Disarm and Deploy, Show Off perhaps best exemplifies the theme. Let’s check out how Show Off works in Riftbound!

With Show Off, you can choose to use the keyword when you play the card it’s on, getting access to what’s usually a pretty powerful effect in return. To Show Off means to reveal a specific type of card, described after the keyword.

For example, if you Show Off when playing Rousing Display, you’ll need to reveal a card from your hand with Energy cost 7 or more to your opponent. You can also point to one of your friendly cards in play, to keep your hand cards secret, as long as the card meets the Show Off requirement. Then, rather than Rousing Display allowing you to play 2 Recruit unit tokens to your base, you can instead play 4 of these!

Show Off is optional, of course, but it can lead to some big, powerful changes for you. It’s obviously preferable if you can point to a card already in play, but if you can’t, it just might be worth the risk of revealing a card you’ll be playing at some point.
