The Digimon Card Game Goes Digital: Pre-Registration Available Now

The Digimon Card Game is finally going digital. Let's check out all of the information we know about Digimon Alysion so far!
Digimon Alysion

The Digimon Card Game is one of the most underrated trading card games currently available. Though many people unfairly compare Digimon itself to Pokémon, there’s plenty to set it apart, and that goes for the card game too. With innovative mechanics such as inherited abilities when your Digimon evolve, or digivolve, an egg hatching zone and a clever resource system, Digimon is a cleverly designed, unique and much-overlooked experience.

Something that should now help to bring the Digimon Card Game to a wider audience is the upcoming digital version of the game, titled Digimon Alysion. It’ll be available as a fully-featured TCG experience for mobile platforms, and release is currently planned for 2026, with no specific, fixed date yet known.

However, what we do know is that Digimon Alysion will feature a fully-voiced story mode with an engaging cast of characters. It’ll take place in the world of Digimon Liberator, a webcomic and light novel which can be read for free on the Digimon Card Game’s official website. The story mode will also function as a tutorial to help teach new players how to play the Digimon Card Game.

Digimon Alysion will bring the unique gameplay of the Digimon Card Game to new and existing fans, with support for a wide variety of decks and options, including ranked matches and tournaments. You can pre-register for Digimon Alysion at the App Store, with Google Play registration to follow.

It’s worth pre-registering too, as there are special in-game gifts on offer. Check out the image above for more details. We’re very excited about Digimon Alysion, specifically because it should ensure that the Digimon Card Game will finally get the recognition and audience it deserves!
