Disney Lorcana has been a huge critical and commercial success since launching in 2023.
The Collectable Card Game or Trading Card Game (CCG or TCG) has been dominated by three big games over the last few decades, with Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh taking most of the focus of players and collectors.
Yet other games can and do often survive just outside the huge bubble of the big three, carving out their own small niches and dedicated fanbases.
To its credit, however, Lorcana launched to a storm of attention from Disney fans, players and collectors alike; instantly seeing it sit aside the three biggest games in the industry, rather than being in their shadow.
Three sets have been released for Disney Lorcana, with the third set, Into the Inklands, introducing new elements such as Locations to the game.
With Into the Inklands seeing Lorcana continue to maintain its momentum in terms of its popularity, which cards from the set are the most valuable?
Table of Contents
Toggle1. Ursula, Deceiver of All (212/204) – Enchanted Rare ($440)
The card rarities in Disney Lorcana are pretty straightforward: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, Legendary and Enchanted Rare are the rarity designations in order.
So it stands to reason that Enchanted Rare cards are the most highly sought after cards in any given set, especially as cards at this level of rarity are found at the rate of roughly 1 in every 72 booster packs (which is 1 in 3 booster boxes!).
It’s no surprise, then, that we find an Enchanted Rare card at the very top of our list!
The Emerald Ink type Ursula, Deceiver of All is a Dreamborn card (you can check out our Storyborn, Dreamborn and Floodborn Disney Lorcana guide for more details).
In gameplay terms, she costs 3 Ink to play, has 2 Strength, 3 Willpower and 1 point of Lore.
In terms of raw stats, she’s not the most impressive of cards, it has to be said; however, it’s in her ability that Ursula shows her true value.
Her ability, ‘What A Deal’, allows her to sing a Song card again for free immediately after playing it, at which point the Song goes to the bottom of your draw deck rather than your discard pile.
As an Enchanted Rare card, naturally the full card artwork on this variant of Ursula, Deceiver of All is spectacular, too.
Enchanted Rare cards also have a textured foil treatment, making them feel much more special than a standard foil Lorcana card.
It’s also worth noting that initial prints of Ursula, Deceiver of All were misprinted with the Storyborn type, rather than Dreamborn, so if you manage to snag one of these in the wild, you’re likely to see its already high, average asking price of $440 exceeded further!
It’s worth noting that Ursula, Deceiver of All is also available as a Legendary Rare card, but even in its non-Enchanted form, the average asking price is still in the region of $50.
So be prepared to pay a pretty high price if you want to get your hands on this Sea Witch!
2. Jafar, Striking Illusionist (208/204) – Enchanted Rare ($215)
You’ll soon see that this list is absolutely dominated by the Enchanted Rare cards.
As previously mentioned, the Enchanted Rare cards are only found at the rate of 1 in every 3 booster boxes, or thereabouts, so pulling one is an especially lucky find!
They all have full art and a lovely, textured foil finish, so they’re immediately noticeable when you find one in a booster pack too.
The card in second place is another villain; this time it’s Aladdin’s nemesis, Jafar.
Jafar, Striking Illusionist is an Amethyst Ink, Floodborn card with much stronger stats than Ursula at first glance.
Though he comes with a very steep Ink cost of 7, this can be reduced using Jafar’s Shift ability. Despite this, it’ll still cost you 5 Ink to get him into play!
His 4 Strength, 5 Willpower stats are decent for Challenging (or being Challenged!), and he also has 1 point of Lore for Questing.
He has the Evasive keyword, which means he can only be Challenged by characters who have Evasive.
Like Ursula, Jafar’s Ability adds some real appeal to this card. When he’s Exerted, every time you draw a card on your turn you gain 1 Lore.
Which, given that you need 20 Lore to win a game of Disney Lorcana, can be incredibly powerful when combined with draw abilities on other cards!
Jafar’s standard art variant, a Legendary Rare, sells for around $25, so that may be a better option if you want to use him in your Disney Lorcana games; the Enchanted Rare version is currently selling for an average of $215!
3. Kida, Protector of Atlantis (206/204) – Enchanted Rare ($180)
One of the lesser known characters on this list, Kida, Protector of Atlantis is also the first non-villain to appear!
Of course, it’s the Enchanted Rare variant of Kida that sells for the highest value, currently commanding an average price of $180!
You’ll notice from all of the Enchanted Rare cards on this list that their card number exceeds the number of cards in the set. For example, Kida is card number 206 of 204.
That’s not a misprint; it’s because Enchanted Rares are what’s known as ‘Secret Rare’ cards in CCG/TCG terms, and always go higher than the ‘official’ number of cards in a set.
Each Disney Lorcana set so far has played host to at least 12 Secret Rares, so there will always be at least a dozen cards that go beyond the designated number of cards in each set.
So, what does Kida offer in terms of her use in the game itself?
She’s an Amber, Floodborn card with a 5 Ink cost that can be reduced to 3 by using Shift.
Kida has 3 Strength, 5 Willpower and 2 Lore.
Her ability is incredibly powerful, but even playing her must be carefully timed; when she comes into play, Kida reduces the Strength of all other characters by 3 points.
That’s right: all other characters. Meaning your own characters are affected too!
This effect lasts until the start of your next turn, so it’ll affect your opponent’s characters during the turn after Kida hits the table too.
Kida’s standard art variant card sells for around $12, which is much more affordable. If you’re building an Amber deck, she’s certain to be a card you’ll consider including!
4. Scrooge McDuck, Richest Duck in the World (218/204) – Enchanted Rare ($175)
One of the cover stars of Into the Inklands, Scrooge McDuck’s beautiful Enchanted Rare variant is currently selling for $175.
In game terms, Scrooge McDuck has a 5 Ink cost, 3 Strength and 5 Willpower, along with 1 point of Lore.
Interestingly, he can’t be used as an Ink resource, unlike most other cards on this list.
He does have Evasive, but only on the owning player’s turn.
Scrooge McDuck’s ability allows you to play an Item card for free, whenever he banishes a character in a Challenge.
Though it’s a Super Rare, Scrooge McDuck’s standard art variant is available in a Starter Deck.
It’s perhaps due to this easy availability that the non-Enchanted version has a low cost of just $0.20, making this one of the most genuinely affordable cards on our list!
5. Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil (209/204) – Enchanted Rare ($175)
With an average selling price of $175, Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil is another highly valued villain on the list of the most valuable Into the Inklands cards.
It’s a 5 Ink cost, Amethyst card, with 2 Strength, 3 Willpower and 2 Lore.
For the cost of 5, those stats don’t seem particularly impressive at first glance.
However, its in the abilities that Maleficent really shines.
Firstly, whenever Maleficent Quests, you may draw a card.
Secondly, whenever you draw a card on your turn, Maleficent allows you to move a damage counter from one opposing character to another.
This gives the card a great combo of abilities, which can prove devastating when used correctly.
Its standard art, non-Enchanted version (which is a Legendary Rare) sells for an average of $6, so it’s not a particularly expensive card to get,as long as you’re not dead set on the rarest version!
6. Chernabog, Evildoer (205/204) – Enchanted Rare ($167)
One of the most striking villains in Disney history, Chernabog appears in the classical music-based 1940 film, Fantasia.
His card is immediately striking; not just because of Chernabog’s imposing appearance or the stunningly atmospheric art, but because of his astonishing Ink cost.
That’s right: Chernabog costs 10 Ink to get into play!
However, there’s also a great ability on the card that can reduce Chernabog’s cost, depending on how many characters you’ve already lost.
For each character you have in your discard pile, Chernabog’s cost is reduced by 1 Ink.
So you can play what can seem to be a risky, aggressive game, before shocking your opponent with Chernabog!
His other stats are striking too, with 9 Strength, 9 Willpower and 3 Lore.
We haven’t even mentioned the fact that, upon playing Chernabog, you can shuffle all of the characters into your discard pile back into your deck.
It’s one of the best cards in Lorcana overall, in our humble opinion.
If you’re running an Amber deck, it’s one that you’ll definitely want to check out.
Interestingly, Chernabog’s non-Enchanted version is a Super Rare that only commands an average price of around $2, so it’s not prohibitive to get one or more of these cards into your collection.
7. Robin Hood, Champion of Sherwood (221/204) – Enchanted Rare ($167)
Disney’s 1970s version of the legend of Robin Hood transformed its characters into anthropomorphic animals, with the heroic protagonist becoming a fox.
It’s that vulpine character that’s on this card, with a gorgeous, full art illustration adorning this Enchanted Rare.
Currently selling for an average of $167, this Robin Hood is a Steel type card, with a 5 Ink cost that can be reduced to 3, using Shift.
With 3 Strength, 6 Willpower and 2 Lore, Robin Hood has reasonably solid stats too.
He also earns 2 Lore whenever you banish another character with him during a Challenge on your turn; additionally, if Robin Hood himself is banished in a Challenge, you can draw a card.
His non-Enchanted variant is a Legendary Rare, which is still reasonably pricey; even though it’s not as costly as the Enchanted Rare, the Legendary version will still set you back around $30!
8. Gramma Tala, Spirit of the Ocean (217/204) – Enchanted Rare ($165)
The grandmother of the titular character of Disney movie Moana, Gramma Tala is a Sapphire card with a very high 7 Ink cost.
This can be reduced to 5 with Shift; is Gramma Tala worth the Ink investment?
We say yes, undoubtedly. Even from just a stats point of view, she has 4 Strength, a jaw-dropping 8 Willpower and even 2 Lore too.
Additionally, her ability is fantastic too; she gives you 1 Lore every time you add a card to your Inkwell.
So not only will you be increasing the amount of Ink available to you when you use your Inkwell, but Gramma Tala also helps you accelerate your way to victory too!
Gramma Tala is currently priced at an average of $165, but her Legendary Rare variant is much more reasonably priced at $12!
9. Mickey Mouse, Trumpeter (220/204) – Enchanted Rare ($165)
As we head towards the end of this list, we’ve finally reached a point where we can cover Disney’s flagship character, Mickey Mouse!
It’s a sign of how strong the Into the Inklands set is overall that a Mickey card doesnt appear until entry number 9, with several more obscure characters making the cut ahead of the Mouse himself.
It’s perhaps also a reflection of how this particular incarnation looks, from a stats point of view; it doesn’t strike you as anything special at first glance.
With a 4 Ink cost, this Steel type card has 0 (yes, zero!) Strength and only 1 Willpower, so it already feels like a very weak proposition.
Even taking 1 point of Lore into consideration, this card still doesn’t look particularly impressive.
However, it has a secret weapon in the form of its ability.
Mickey Mouse, Trumpeter’s ability can be used if you Exert him and pay 2 Ink; it then allows you to play any character for free.
That’s right; it essentially reduces the cost of any character to just 2 Ink.
Not bad, right?
Though it’s at the lower end of the scale when it comes to the most valuable Into the Inklands cards, a price of $165 on average for the Enchanted Rare is certainly not cheap!
The Legendary Rare, standard art variant is a much cheaper card, as is always the case, with a price averaging at $5.50.
It’s a card that may well need to be used sparingly and certainly not without forethought, but Mickey Mouse, Trumpeter can be especially effective in the right hands!
10. Morph, Space Goo (211/204) – Enchanted Rare ($154)
Treasure Planet is perhaps one of the most underrated films in Disney’s library, but it’s responsible for this cute and interesting card, which just about makes it to the most valuable Into the Inklands card list!
With an average price of $154, this Emerald type Enchanted Rare card (yes, the top ten most valuable cards are all Enchanted Rares!) is one that has a genuinely brilliant ability.
That’s because, in a highly thematic touch, Morph, Space Goo can use the Shift of any other characters.
That is to say that, if a character has Shift and needs to be placed on top of a character of the same name, they can instead be placed onto Morph, Space Goo.
With an Ink cost of 2, this can prove to be a great Ink-cost saving measure!
It also keeps your opponent guessing as to your plans, or allows you to shift (pun intended) your plans on the fly to deal with your opponent’s current position.
Though Morph only has 2 Strength, 1 Willpower and 1 Lore, it hardly seems to matter, given that you can swiftly Shift it into anything you need to!
Even better, the standard art, Rare version of Morph costs just $5 on average, so it’s not especially difficult to get hold of them for your deck if you want to factor this lovable, shape changing aliens into your plans.
