A hand of cards for the One Piece Card Game

Just about all trading card games (TCGs) ban cards periodically. Typically, this is due to cards becoming overpowered when new sets release, and players find ways to exploit abilities or combos which end up making the game frustrating or unenjoyable for their opponents. Sometimes multiple cards are banned at once! Despite this, it’s unusual for a specific pair of cards to be banned from use together. Let’s take a look at the pair of cards that have been banned from play in One Piece.

Which Pair of Cards Is No Longer Legal in One Piece?

As of April 10th, 2026, the I Re-Quasar Helllp!! and Borsalino cards are banned specifically as a pair. What that means is that they can be used in decks individually, but cannot both be used in the same deck, at the same time. So don’t worry about removing them from your collection entirely. You just need to ensure that you aren’t building them both into your deck!

Note of course that this only applies to organized play. If you are playing casually with friends, your opponents may well be fine with you using these cards together in your deck. Just make sure you let them know before playing that you intend to use them together!

Note also that the alternate art variant of Borsalino is affected by this ban. So you can’t get around the restriction by using the above version of the card either!

This pair of cards joins a list of other banned cards, which we’ll be covering in full on Card Gamer very soon. While you’re here, check out our list of all One Piece Card Game sets.
