Perhaps because simulator games, with many tongue in cheek examples alongside the “serious” sims, are everywhere, the success of TCG Card Shop Simulator was pretty surprising. Yet the game itself is an absolute love letter to TCGs, their communities and the fans on all sides of playing, collecting, buying and selling cards. The clear passion for the subject matter has helped the game sell an astonishing 3.5 million units!
One of the coolest elements of the game is that it basically contains its own, in-universe TCG: Tetramon. The cards are very nicely designed, with what appear to be fully working stats and abilities; your customers can play it in your shop too!
However, you can’t play it yourself, or at least not yet. That will be changing soon though, as developer OPNeon Games have announced that Tetramon will be playable as of the 1.0 version of TCG Card Shop Simulator, estimated to be releasing this Fall.
