Pokemon Paldean Fates Card List (Complete, English)

Pokemon Paldean Fates Cards displayed on the Card Gamer background

Tiding us Pokemon fans over until the next full set arrives – in the form of Temporal Forces, due to launch on March 22nd, 2024 – is the release of mini set Paldean Fates.

Similar to Crown Zenith in 2023, Paldean Fates isn’t being sold with single boosters, so booster boxes won’t be available either; instead, boosters will only be found as part of larger boxes and collections.

However, Paldean Fates is no ordinary set; it’s not even an ordinary mini set!

That’s because the base set of cards in Paldean Fates sits at a small 91 cards, so each card is numbered XXX/091; however, there’s a lot more cards than 91 in Paldean Fates.

When a card’s numbering goes above the base set’s number, that means the card in question is a Secret Rare.

Usually, sets have a small number of Secret Rare cards, certainly in comparison to the number of cards in any given release’s Base Set.

However, Paldean Fates has more than 150 Secret Rares, which means that there are more of these cards to find in the set than there are cards in the Base Set!

Not only that, but a large number of the Secret Rare cards are also Shiny Pokemon, which we’ve previously seen in Japanese sets such as Shiny Treasure ex.

Let’s take a look at the currently revealed Base Set and Secret Rare cards for Paldean Fates.

Why Are Some Pokemon A Different Colour Than Usual?

You’ll notice that many of the Secret Rare cards feature Pokemon that are a different colour than you would normally expect them to be, such as the Ditto in the image above.

That’s because they’re Shiny Pokemon; an extra clue is also on the card, in the form of the starry ‘shine’ illustration surrounding them.

Some of them are full art cards and others are ‘Baby Shiny’ Pokemon; for more details on these, check out our Baby Shiny Pokemon guide.

What Does The G Mean On The Bottom Left Of Paldean Fates Cards?

Baby Shiny Ditto - Paldean Fates Regulation Mark

You’ll note that in the bottom left of the card, to the left of the card’s PAL EN set code, there’s another letter: G.

This is the card’s regulation mark, which is used to determine a card’s legality in Pokemon TCG tournaments.

Paldean Fates is the first Pokemon TCG set to bear the G mark.

Under the current set rotation rules, from March 2024 onwards, only cards marked F and above (so that’s just F and G) will be legal for tournament play.

If you do intend to enter any Pokemon TCG Tournaments this year, do bear this in mind, as you won’t be allowed to use any cards from sets released as recently as 2021.

For example, any cards found in Shining Fates, Battle Styles, Chilling Reign, Evolving Skies and Fusion Strike will no longer be tournament legal.
