What are Trainer Gallery cards in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, and what Trainer Gallery cards are available? Though similar cards had been released as part of the Pokémon Trading Card Game’s numerous sets before, Trainer Gallery cards as we now know them were first introduced in 2022, with the Pokémon Sword and Shield: Brilliant Stars set. Since then, they’ve also appeared in Astral Radiance, Lost Origin and Silver Tempest, sometimes even in god packs. They’re all categorised with TG prefixes on their card numbers, to make identifying them incredibly straightforward.

ToggleWhat Are Trainer Gallery Pokemon Cards?
The answer is fairly straightforward: Trainer Gallery cards are full art cards that often, but not always, showcase Trainers with their Pokémon. Some Trainer Gallery cards – particularly of the Trainer/Supporter card type – may only show a human character, but they will always be full art cards. A few may only show a Pokémon; however, these are generally reserved for the rarest and most striking ‘silhouette’ style cards, which are all full art cards too.
How Many Trainer Gallery Cards Are There?
Brilliant Stars, Astral Radiance, Lost Origin and Silver Tempest each have a set of 30 Trainer Gallery cards – which means there are 120 Trainer Gallery Cards overall. So let’s take a look at the list of cards in each set!

Will There Be More Trainer Gallery Cards?
With Pokémon Go appearing between Astral Radiance and Lost Origin, it was a surprise that it didn’t feature any Trainer Gallery cards. Yet so far, Silver Tempest is the last set to feature Trainer Gallery cards.
Though Crown Zenith (the set that released after Silver Tempest) does feature similar cards, they’re known as Galarian Gallery cards. This is because they’re full art cards that showcase Galarian Pokémon – which were introduced in the video game Pokémon Sword and Shield – without Trainers also featuring. Instead of being numbered as TGXX, instead they’re GGXX. So the answer at present is that we simply don’t know – but we wouldn’t be surprised if the popular Trainer Gallery cards do make another appearance at some stage.
