Let's take a look at the newly revealed alternate art cards for upcoming Star Wars Unlimited set, Secrets of Power!
Propaganda and Renegade Cards for Star Wars Unlimited

On a recent livestream, Star Wars Unlimited creators at Fantasy Flight Games revealed entirely new art styles for Prestige cards, arriving in upcoming set, Secrets of Power. These alternate art variants will only be available in Carbonite Boosters, the Star Wars Unlimited equivalent of the premium Collector Boosters you’ll find for games such as Magic: The Gathering. Let’s take a look at what’s been revealed so far.

Collectors of Star Wars Unlimited cards have expressed disappointment with Carbonite Boosters, which were initially promoted as limited in number, with a single print run, and only featuring premium foil and alternate art cards. Though that’s all true of Carbonite Boosters, it’s not difficult to find them for Jump to Lightspeed, the set they debuted in, which has reduced the feeling of them feeling scarce or valuable. in fact, these Carbonite Booster packs are still easily found at, or even below, their recommended retail price. To add to this, the alternate art has been criticized as uninteresting and certainly not worth paying a big premium for; it’s not hard to see why, with the example of a Prestige card shown in our photo above. Though its foil treatment and textured finish gives the card a premium feel. as well as the art not being bad, as such, there’s no denying that it feels somewhat bland.

So with Secrets of Power, it seems that Fantasy Flight have truly taken steps to address this issue. There will be 21 Propaganda cards to collect in the Secrets of Power set, so called because they take the form of Propaganda-style posters featuring characters from the Star Wars universe. Revealed so far are three Andor-centric characters, clearly taking advantage of the popularity of the phenomenal Disney Plus show: Bail Organa, Major Partagaz and Syril Karn. So far, we’ve only seen the card art for Bail Organa and Syril Karn, but as you can see above, the Major Partagaz card’s art and full card text have been revealed.

Styled to look like the holographic images from in-universe bounty pucks in Star Wars, Renegade cards are another alternate art treatment that should be highly sought after by fans and collectors. 22 of these will feature in Secrets of Power, and the two that have been revealed so far are shown above: Cad Bane and Chopper, both of whom have appeared extensively in animated Star Wars shows, as well as making appearances in live action too (in The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka, as Star Wars fans will be aware of).

Both are shown with their art and full card text; interestingly, the Aspect symbols are the same color as the background and art, which makes them marginally less playable in-game. However, given how scarce and sought after these cards are likely to be, the chance of any player using them in a deck is very low indeed!

With spoiler season imminent, we’re soon going to be treated to lots more cards from Secrets of Power, leading up to its release in November 2025. We’ll continue to bring you new reveals and the card gallery as soon as we have more information, but in the meantime check out our list of the most valuable cards in Legends of the Force, and our guide to all card rarities in Star Wars Unlimited too.
