Popular video game fighting franchise Tekken is returning to UniVersus in 2026. What’s most exciting about this for Tekken fans is that a full Tekken 8 booster set is on the way. This contrasts with the previous Tekken 8 UniVersus products, released in 2024. Back then, there was no full booster set; instead, UVS Games only released two Clash Decks.

With the full booster release, Tekken fans will discover 14 Characters, 185 base set cards and even more alternate art variants, along with serialized Chrome Rare cards too.

There are two new elements in the Tekken 8 set which have never been seen before in UniVersus. First up is the Heat mechanic, which introduces “momentum-driven gameplay swings”, according to UVS Games. Then there’s a brand new card type: Arena cards. Finally, there are two distinct Chrome card treatments, adding another variant for collectors to chase.

Though we don’t know any more about these new aspects just yet, as we approach release we’ll be sure to share more details with you.
