Like any other trading card game, One Piece has on occasion found it necessary to ban certain cards from competitive and organized play. It’s not always easy to find which cards are currently banned in this way though, as the information on the One Piece Card Game’s official website is spread across different articles. So let’s check out the current list of banned cards in One Piece!
Table of Contents
ToggleBanned Cards in One Piece
These cards are currently banned from organized play entirely. Note that alternate art versions of each card are also banned, so pay attention to the card’s number and set code in the bottom right of the card:

For reference, the card names and numbers you need to look out for are:
- Nami – OP03-040
- Charlotte Pudding – OP06-047
- Gecko Moria – OP06-086
- Reject – OP06-116
Each of those cards does have alternate art variants, so just look out for the OP code and card number to ensure you know whether or not the card is banned.
Banned Pairs of Cards in One Piece
There are also some cards in One Piece which are not banned from using on their own, but cannot be used together. These pairs are as follows. Each row shows a different banned pair:

To further clarify, this means that Borsalino can be used in a deck, but if your deck contains I Re-Quasar Helllp!!, it’s not allowed. Also, that works both ways; I Re-Quasar Helllp!! is fine in your deck if you don’t also have Borsalino! Their set codes, for reference, are EB04-058 and OP07-115. The next banned pair of cards are:

Of course, the same applies with these two cards. They cannot be in the same deck together, but are fine when used with other cards. Except the Monkey D. Luffy is also part of another banned pair, as follows:

So just be careful not to use your OP11-040 with either OP08-069 or OP11-067.
Restricted and Unbanned Cards
There have previously been cards which are restricted, which means that only 1 copy of that card can be used in your deck. However, there are currently no restricted cards for the One Piece Card Game. There have also been other cards which were banned at one point or another, but the only currently banned cards and pairs are on this list!
Note that, in casual play against friends and family, you can still use these cards. That is, as long as they agree with you using these cards or pairs beforehand. It’s just any organized play at scheduled events or tournaments that these cannot be used.
