Here at Card Gamer, we’re big fans of Genesis: Battle of Champions. A trading card game which sees players building decks and engaging in battle across a grid-based arena, we awarded Genesis: Battle of Champions an impressive 9.5 for its gameplay in our review.

Now Metamorphosis, the newest set for Genesis: Battle of Champions, is crowdfunding via Kickstarter. Let’s take a look at what changes and additions Metamorphosis brings to the game.

What’s New in Metamorphosis?

Making their debut in the Metamorphosis set are dual-sided cards, which can transform when triggered during the game. Equipment cards are also being introduced to Genesis: Battle of Champions in the Metamorphosis set, which bring new, Champion-focused strategies to the fore.

In addition to Metamorphosis booster boxes at a reduced price (compared to MSRP), bundles of content including starter decks, playmats and more are available as pledges. You can even secure yourself an optional add-on which allows you to be immortalized on a card, to be included in an upcoming set of Genesis: Battle of Champions!
