Pokémon The Glory of Team Rocket: Japanese Card List (So Far)

Prepare for trouble and make it double, as we check out all cards that have been revealed for Japanese Pokémon set, The Glory of Team Rocket!
Cards from Pokémon set, The Glory of Team Rocket

Long term Pokémon fans are well aware of the seemingly relentless schedule for the launch of new sets, but that’s nothing compared to the pace of new releases that Japan deals with. Japanese Pokémon sets tend to release faster, and in smaller sets than we receive in the West; to illustrate that point, not only has Heat Wave Arena just been released, but now The Glory of Team Rocket is well and truly on the way too.

Let’s take a look at all of the cards that have been revealed for the Pokémon TCG’s The Glory of Team Rocket set so far!

The Glory of Team Rocket: Main Set Card Gallery

The Japanese Pokémon TCG set, Heat Wave Arena, was a smaller set, with only 63 cards; by contrast, The Glory of Team Rocket is larger, with 98 cards in its main set. You can identify cards from the set with the sv10 set code (found in the bottom left of the card, next to each individual card’s set number). All of the cards for the The Glory of Team Rocket main set can be seen below:

As the cards do, of course, have Japanese text, it may not be clear what each one is (except in the case of Pokémon you can clearly identify!). So here’s a list of the cards, in number order, with their English names. Do note, however, that the names of some cards, particularly Trainer cards, may change when they’re officially translated into English.

The Glory of Team Rocket: Secret Rare Card Gallery

Pokémon TCG fans should be aware that each Pokémon set features a number of alternate art and foil treated cards, with card numbers that go above that designated set’s “official” number. As The Glory of Team Rocket has 98 cards in its main set, its Secret Rares (as they’re known) begin their numbering at 99! Let’s take a look at all of the Secret Rare cards that have been revealed for The Glory of Team Rocket so far:

When Will The Glory of Team Rocket Be Released?

The release date for The Glory of Team Rocket is set for April 18th, 2025 in Japan. As with several recent sets, from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: 151 onwards, The Glory of Team Rocket features plenty of nostalgic callbacks to prior Pokémon TCG sets, such as Team Rocket (released in Japan in 1997 and in English in 2000) and EX Team Rocket Returns, which was released way back in 2004.

It also seems that every Pokémon in this set is a Team Rocket’s Owner’s Pokémon, which sets it aside even from the Owner’s Pokémon-heavy Battle Partners and Heat Wave Arena. Though both of those sets featured Owner’s Pokémon, they also each featured non-Owner’s Pokémon too; so far, that doesn’t seem to be what we’re going to get with The Glory of Team Rocket, which is pretty exciting!

The majority of the cards in The Glory of Team Rocket will make their way to the West in the Destined Rivals Pokémon TCG set, which is due to be released on May 30th, 2025.
