With Star Wars Unlimited’s sixth set, Secrets of Power, now in the hands of eager fans, which cards are the most sought after in the set? Let’s find out, as we take a look at the most valuable cards in Star Wars Unlimited: Secrets of Power!
Table of Contents
Toggle10. Sly Moore, Cipher in the Dark – Showcase

A Force-sensitive Umbaran adviser to Senator Palpatine, Sly Moore is a perfect opening card to our most valuable cards in Secrets of Power. That’s because the set primarily concerns itself with politics and espionage, with Spy tokens, the Plot keyword and Disclose mechanic all debuting as additional elements in Star Wars Unlimited.
9. Leia Organa, Of A Secret Bloodline – Showcase

Just like Sly Moore (and, in fact, every single other card on this list), it’s Leia Organa’s Showcase variant which appears on the list of the most valuable cards in Secrets of Power. That’s due to their scarcity; it’s estimated that Showcase variants (which are alternate, full art Leader cards) appear at the rate of 1 in 12 booster boxes. That means you’ll potentially only find 1 Showcase card in every 288 packs!
8. C-3PO, Human-Cyborg Relations – Showcase

Here’s a fun fact for you: there are only two characters who appear in all 9 Skywalker Saga Star Wars movies, and R2-D2 is one of them. Of course, it won’t take a Jedi to foresee that C-3PO is the other one, and here we have him in Leader card form (very unlikely, I know!), with his Showcase variant.
7. Jabba the Hutt, Wonderful Human Being – Showcase

A reference to an infamous deleted scene, clumsily restored to the first Star Wars movie for the 20th anniversary release, Star Wars: A New Hope Special Edition in 1997, Jabba definitely isn’t a “wonderful human being”. That dialogue, spoken by Han Solo in the aforementioned deleted scene, gives away the fact that Jabba was never originally intended to be anything other than the actor who originally played him. Though the legend, according to George Lucas, is that the intent was to somehow use complicated matte work and puppetry to transform Jabba into an alien creature, it seems like this only retrospectively became the excuse for Jabba being portrayed by Irish actor Declan Mulholland.
6. Chancellor Palpatine, How Liberty Dies – Showcase

Scheming Chancellor Palpatine is the next Showcase card on our list. With a sinister-looking Chancellor being depicted in gorgeous artwork by EJ Dela Cruz, this popular character’s alternate art card is definitely one for fans who are easily tempted by the dark side.
5. Luthen Rael, Don’t You Want To Fight For Real? – Showcase

Heading into the most expensive half of the most valuable cards from Secrets of Power, we have the character Luthen Rael, from the peerless Star Wars show, Andor. Played to perfection by the wonderful Stellan Skarsgård, Luthen has more than one monologue which would absolutely steal the show, if the show he was in wasn’t actually Andor, which is full of showstopping scenes and monologues.
4. Dedra Meero, Not Wasting Time – Showcase

Another standout character who debuted in Andor, Dedra Meero (portrayed with chilling professionalism and ruthless ambition by Denise Gough) was a revelation. At first, many fans were conflicted about Meero’s villainous role; or at least they were, until she showed her terrifying coldness by reveling in the torture of a Rebel collaborator.
3. Mon Mothma, Forming A Coalition – Showcase

Originally portrayed by Caroline Blakison in a short, but well known, sequence in the third Star Wars movie (or sixth, episode-wise) Return of the Jedi, secret Rebellion sympathizer Mon Mothma has been played by Genevieve O’Reilly since 2005 (in a deleted scene from Revenge of the Sith), before becoming front and center in, again, Andor. It seems that Andor has been fertile ground for the Secrets of Power set, and we haven’t finished with characters from the show just yet!
2. Cassian Andor, Climb! – Showcase

Which brings us to the titular Rebel from the show, Cassian Andor himself. However, the artwork depicts Cassian in the climactic sequence of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the movie in which he debuted. Though for a good few years the (understandable) expectation was that we’d never see Cassian again, thankfully he returned in the prequel streaming show bearing his name.
1. Padme Amidala, What Do You Have To Hide? – Showcase

We move away from Andor for our most valuable Secrets of Power card; this one is the perennially popular, benevolent ruler of Naboo and highly diplomatic Senator, Padme Amidala. Though Padme did her best, she was unable to stop the overwhelming dark side from taking control; both at the galactic level, and personally when it came to her secret partner, Anakin Skywalker.
