Card gaming fans are hardly short of roguelike deckbuilding games, yet they’re generally a pretty solitary experience. Though that is certainly part of their appeal in the contemporary gaming world, which seems hyper-focused on always online, ultra competitive, lightning paced bursts of action against other players, there’s something to be said for shared experiences.

Enter Forsaken Lands, an upcoming, roguelike deckbuilder which can be played co-operatively by up to three players, each with their own character and deck. With a strong narrative focus, multiple story campaigns and 6 unique heroes to choose from, it looks like it’s going to be a satisfyingly rich experience for digital card game fans. Visually, it’s colorful and has great character design, along with a clean, simple interface to ensure that everyone involved can pick up and play the game with minimal fuss.

Of course, you can expect the usual deck building, upgrading and combat as you progress through the campaign, but there’s also a procedurally generated “Dreams” mode, which adds unique twists that aren’t present in the story mode.

The developers of Forsaken Lands, Lunisky Studio, are a small team focusing on developing single and co-op games with a strong focus on narrative; it looks like they’re on the right track with Forsaken Lands, which is due to launch on Steam in the second quarter of 2026.
