Disney Cruise Line Logo and Cards

Since launching in late 2023, Ravensburger and Disney have often found unique ways to promote their Lorcana trading card game beyond the usual ways you’d expect. Of course, being Disney-related, Lorcana has opportunities for promotion that other games don’t have, including the D23 cards being sold at a Disney Expo, or Moana promo cards being handed out at movie theaters with showings of Moana itself. So let’s take a look at another unique way that Disney and Ravensburger have found to distribute Disney Lorcana promo cards!

How Many Disney Cruise Lorcana Promo Cards Are Available?

There are currently 6 Disney Cruise Lorcana Promo cards available. 1 of these is more widely available than the other 5, which form a set of their own.

So How Exactly Can You Get the Disney Cruise Lorcana Promo Cards?

The standalone card is Mickey Mouse, True Friend; this can be earned by attending events on various Disney Cruise ships. The set of 5 are a different matter, and these are earned in different ways for each card.

These 5 cards can currently only be earned on a specific Disney Cruise ship, which is named Treasure. The method of earning each card is as follows (thanks to Disney By Mark for this information!)

  • Mickey Mouse: This card is delivered to each guest’s Stateroom on Pirate Night
  • Goofy: You can earn the Goofy card by playing Lorcana or trading cards during scheduled events
  • Donald Duck: Basic Quests are received once per Lorcana session; when completed, participants receive the Donald Duck card.
  • Daisy Duck: When a Basic Quest is completed, participants are upgraded to an Advanced Quest; complete the Advanced Quest to receive the Daisy Duck card.
  • Minnie Mouse: To receive the Minnie Mouse card, you need to purchase the Disney Lorcana Stitch Gift Set from the ship’s “Mickey’s Mainsail” store. At a cost of $49.99, it’s the only extra cash you need to spend in order to earn this card, and complete the set of promo cards.

What is the Rarity Symbol on Disney Cruise Lorcana Promo Cards?

The Disney Cruise Lorcana cards have their own rarity symbol, which we’ve highlighted with a red circle in the image above. All of the cards are Pirate-themed, as well as having a uniquely colored frame, with waves, and other effects, on each edge.

Of course, not everyone is able to travel aboard the Disney Treasure, at the specific times when these Lorcana events are being held during the trip. Which means that these cards can’t be easily obtained for the majority of Lorcana fans. However, they have started to pop up on the secondary market, and you can find them for sale on sites such as TCGplayer. Of course, given their scarcity, they’re not always in stock, so if you want them, grab them while you can!
