With Disney Lorcana flying off store shelves faster than Aladdin’s carpet soaring around the skies of Agrabah, it’s clear that fans and collectors alike are desperate to get their hands on the cards in The First Chapter.
Lorcana publisher Ravensburger aren’t resting on their laurels, however – and have now revealed the details for the second set of Disney’s first ever Trading Card Game.
What Is The Second Disney Lorcana Set Called?
The second Disney Lorcana set is named Rise of the Floodborn.

When Will Disney Lorcana: Rise of the Floodborn Be Released?
Following a similar pattern to the launch of The First Chapter, Disney Lorcana’s Rise of the Floodborn set will hit independent, local game stores and dedicated gaming web stores on November 17th.
The set will then release into national retail chains on December 1st, in select territories worldwide.
What Disney Lorcana: Rise of the Floodborn Products Will Be Available?
The second Disney Lorcana set will have two starter decks, each of which features two different Ink types: Amber/Sapphire and Amethyst/Steel.

Booster packs – featuring 12 cards, just like the boosters in The First Chapter – will also be on sale, along with accessories such as sleeves and play mats.
An Illumineer’s Trove – similar to the one released for The First Chapter – will also be available. This will be a great bundle to get yourself started with Disney Lorcana, as it’ll feature game tokens, eight booster packs and a guide to the Rise of the Floodborn set.
In addition to this, a set celebrating Disney’s centenary will also be available – the Disney Lorcana: Disney 100 Collector’s Edition.
This set will feature six cards – from The First Chapter and Rise of the Floodborn – with spectacular alternate artwork, drawn by actual Disney animators. These special cards will also have the signature of the animators, and a holographic foil treatment.
The set will also contain four Rise of the Floodborn Booster Packs.

The pricing for each of the Rise of the Floodborn products is as follows:

- Amber/Sapphire Starter Deck (The Queen and Gaston) — $16.99
- Amethyst/Steel Starter Deck (Merlin and Tiana) — $16.99
- Rise of the Floodborn Illumineer’s Trove — $49.99
- Rise of the Floodborn Play Mats (with a choice of Beast or Winnie the Pooh) — $19.99
- Card Sleeves (with a choice of either Mulan or Sisu designs) — $9.99
- Disney Lorcana: Disney100 Edition — $49.99
What New Characters and Cards Will Feature In Rise of the Floodborn?
Ravensburger have confirmed that there will be 200 cards in the Rise of the Floodborn set, with new characters such as Winnie the Pooh and Tiana – from The Princess and the Frog – making their appearance in the game for the first time.
Ravensburger have also announced that characters from the following series will feature in Rise of the Floodborn:
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
- Pinocchio
- Zootopia (also known as Zootropolis or Zoomania in other regions)
- Basil, The Great Mouse Detective
- The Jungle Book
- Raya and the Last Dragon
Are There New Keywords In Rise of the Floodborn?
Ravensburger have confirmed one new keyword so far: Resist.
This keyword works much like Armour or Damage Resistance in other games; simply put, it’ll stop a certain number of damage points being applied per challenge.
So a character whose card has Resist +2 will stop 2 points of damage being applied to the character.
What Else Do We Know About Rise of the Floodborn?
Intriguingly, Ravensburger have also revealed that the set’s story will look at the origins of the Floodborn glimmers.
Glimmers are characters in the game, which players – also known in game as Illumineers – can paint into being with ‘ink’.
Rise of the Floodborn looks at how the chaotic mixing of Disney Lorcana’s ink types leads to the transformed ‘Floodborn’ characters of the set’s name.
