Passion

My passion for card games started when I was a child, I vividly remember going to my local corner shop with my Father to buy packs of Pokemon cards back in 1999. Holo Machamp was my first ever “decent” pull and I couldn’t stop staring at its beauty.

This was the exact moment I knew I would be collecting cards for the rest of my life.

This organic and genuine passion for card games fuels my aspiration to build an awesome publication dedicated to keeping nerds like myself updated and informed about the industry.

Now, 24 years after pulling that Holographic Machamp, I am doing just that.

Expertise

I have worked in the gaming industry for over 10+ years, working with large brands such as GamesRadar, PC Gamer, TechRadar and The Golden Joysticks.

In 2019 I left my secure job to create my own publication known as Retro Dodo, it was hugely successful and in just a few years it is now the world’s leading retro gaming website, with millions of monthly readers and 100% indepedently owned.

With my experience and skillset I now plan to expand our portfolio by creating an awesome publication for card game enthusiasts to learn and laugh.

I want to build CardGamer.com into the world’s leading Card Gaming website.
