Toggle10. Dragonite GX – Unified Minds, 248/236

Hailing from 2019’s Unified Minds set, this Dragonite GX is a Secret Rare card, which means that it’s numbered above the “official” number of cards in its set. Check out the card number; though there are “officially” only 236 cards in the Unified Minds set, this card’s number is 248. Cards numbered in this way are alternate art versions of other cards in a set, or reprints of staples in new rarity types. So now you know! Check out our list of Rainbow Rare Pokémon cards for more details on these gorgeous cards!
9. Dragonite – League/Championship Cards, 002/146

A promotional card from the 2008-2009 National Championships, this Dragonite card is a variant of the same card from the Diamond & Pearl: Legends Awakened set. Of course, the National Championships stamp on the artwork, which immediately makes it much rarer, has led to this particular version of the card being very valuable indeed!
8. Dark Dragonite – Legendary Collection, 005/110

Alternate versions of Pokémon tend to be pretty popular among fans, and it seems that this “Dark” Dragonite proves that to be the case. The surprising aspect of this version of the card, however, is that it appears on this list at all; a reprint of a previously printed card, this version was released in 2002. You just might see it pop up again if you keep reading!
7. Dragonite ex (Delta Species) – EX: Dragon Frontiers, 91/101

Delta Species card, introduced in the EX: Delta Species set, were Pokémon which were a different type than expected. Dragonite tend to be either Colorless or Dragon type Pokémon, but this particular card is a Grass Energy type, which makes it very unusual. Given its presence on this list, it seems that fans of Dragonite really want this one in their collection!
6. Dragonite – Fossil, 04/62

By far the oldest Pokémon card on this list, this Dragonite is from the 1999 set, Fossil. Only the third English language Pokémon set ever, it’s from a period where Magic: The Gathering publishers Wizards of the Coast held the license to localize and print Pokémon cards outside of Japan!
5. Dark Dragonite – Team Rocket, 05/82

We told you that you’d see the Dark Dragonite card again! Here it is, this time in its original print variant from the Team Rocket set. Released in the year 2000, it’s another from the period (from launch until 2003) when Wizards of the Coast were releasing Pokémon cards in the West.
4. Dragonite – Expedition, 009/165

From 2002’s Expedition set, this Dragonite features the eReader markings along its sides. This is from a period where Nintendo were pushing their eReader add-on for the Game Boy Advance, which allowed fans to scan in codes and unlock new content on their Game Boy Advance consoles. Though some retro games were playable this way (after the laborious scanning of multiple cards), with Pokémon the codes generally unlocked extended Pokédex entries, along with other bonuses for the Pokémon shown on the card.
3. Dragonite V – Evolving Skies, 192/203

Mockingly referred to as “Evolving Cries” due to the notoriously terrible pull rate of the set, Evolving Skies was released in 2021. Perhaps due to the aforementioned difficulty with finding any decent cards, this Dragonite V from Evolving Skies has become a clear front runner as one of the most valuable Dragonite cards ever!
2. Dragonite ex – EX: Dragon, 90/97

This Dragonite ex card is from the EX: Dragon set, from 2003. You can see the eReader markings on this card too. Its holographic treatment and silver coloring makes it a really striking card for its era, so it’s not a surprise to see it so close to the top of the most valuable Dragonite cards list.
1. Light Dragonite – Neo Destiny, 014/105

The most valuable Dragonite card right now is this Light Dragonite from Neo Destiny. Though it was the last set to feature “Shining” Pokémon, it introduced “Light” Pokémon as a counterpart to the already introduced Dark Pokémon. This unusual Dragonite is one which any fan of this Pokémon would love to have in their collection!
