UniVersus Attack On Titan: Battle For Humanity Character Card List (Full List)

UniVersus Attack On Titan Character Cards

The UniVersus Collectible Card Game has been around since 2006 (when it was known as the Universal Fighting System), and was mostly focused on adapting video games such as Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and other fighting games into tabletop form. One of the biggest strengths of UniVersus has always been the fact that you can mix and match cards from whatever series or franchise you choose; for example, if you want to pit Cowboy Bebop characters against kaiju from Godzilla, there’s nothing stopping you!

When UFS was rebranded as UniVersus in 2021, its primary focus was My Hero Academia. Since then, publisher UVS Games have brought an incredible number of different franchises to UniVersus, and the latest is their biggest yet.

Manga/anime phenomenon Attack On Titan is the latest franchise to get the UniVersus treatment, with the Attack On Titan: Battle For Humanity set, and UVS have gone all out in bringing the saga to card game fans. With over 300 cards, it’s the biggest set for UniVersus so far on card count alone! The set is also being released with new Clash Decks for beginners, a Challenger Series deck for more experienced players, and even official accessories such as Attack On Titan playmats, alongside the usual booster packs.

With Characters being the cards that you’ll base your deck and strategies around, we thought it’d be a good idea to check out the full UniVersus Attack on Titan: Battle for Humanity character card list so you can do your homework before battling!

Attack On Titan: Battle For Humanity Clash & Challenger Series Decks Character Card Gallery

Aside from the Character cards you can find in booster packs, there are two Starter Decks and one Challenger Series deck, each with their own exclusive Character cards. Let’s take a look at those:

Attack On Titan: Battle For Humanity Clash & Challenger Series Decks Character Card List

The above cards have different set codes and numbers, depending on which deck they’re from. The Clash Decks, with there being two of them, have the designation CD1 and CD2; as simplified products designed to get new players up and running with UniVersus as soon as possible, neither of the cards is double sided.

However, there are two cards included with the Challenger Series deck, which is aimed at more experienced players. These allow players to choose which Character to use, which can change the overall feel and strategy of the deck. One of them is double sided, giving players a glimpse at the new mechanics being brought to UniVersus via the Attack On Titan set. The Challenger Series cards have the set code C01.

Here are the names of each card, along with their set codes, in order of their images in the gallery above:

  • CD1 1/19 – Levi Ackerman, Strong Soldier
  • CD2 1/19 – Mikasa Ackerman, Talented Recruit
  • C01 1/22 – Eren Yeager, Promising Scout
  • C01 1/22 (Reverse) – Attack Titan, Ferocious Challenger
  • C01 2/22 – Armin Arlert, Scared Strategist

If you want to get you hands on these cards, note that they are exclusive to their decks; the Challenger Series deck also includes key cards that can’t be found in boosters at all!

Attack On Titan: Battle For Humanity Alternate Art Character Card Gallery

Moving away from the minimalist look of the standard cards, there are several alternate art Character cards in this set. Both the Clash Decks and Challenger Series deck are packaged with a single booster pack that contains alternate art and foil treatments of standard cards, so those are the packs that you’re most likely to find the following cards in:

Attack On Titan: Battle For Humanity Chrome Rare Character Card Gallery

Chrome Rares are the most highly sought after, rarest cards in any UniVersus set, and that’s because each one is limited to just 100 copies in the entire world! Each Chrome Rare card is serialized, meaning that it’s printed with a number between 001 and 100, and they are all Character cards too, with a very distinctive, black and white look. Additionally, each card has a layered, textured finish and they all feature the signature of Attack On Titan creator, Hajime Isayama. Here are the six Chrome Rare cards that you would be very lucky to find:

The above cards, in gallery order, are as follows:

  • 4/297 – Beast Titan (CR 2/6)
  • 8/297 – Eren Yeager (CR 3/6)
  • 14/297 – Levi Ackerman (CR 4/6)
  • 16/297 – Mikasa Ackerman (CR 5/6)
  • 17/297 – Reiner Braun (CR 6/6)

So that brings us to the end of the list of Character cards for Attack On Titan: Battle For Humanity. It’s a very exciting time to be a UniVersus player, given that the game is expanding into even more new territories over the course of the year (and beyond!), and with the introduction of double sided cards, we’re very likely to see some real shaking up of the meta, as players get to grips with the new Characters. Attack On Titan fans are also likely to be lured to UniVersus for the first time, given that Battle For Humanity, which will be followed by a further Attack On Titan set later this year, does a great job of adapting the source material, in a way that shows a clear knowledge and passion for the hugely popular manga/anime series.
