Spooky season is almost upon us once more, and with it is the arrival of the latest Pokemon Trick or Trade set which is now available at Amazon and other major retailers.
Trick or Trade sets made their debut in 2022, and have been an annual fixture ever since. These very small sets are purchased in bundles of 35 booster packs (known as BOOster Bundles) for a surprisingly low price. Each pack within the BOOster Bundle features just 3 cards, and there are 30 cards overall in the Trick or Trade sets.
It’s important to note that all of the cards within a Trick or Trade set have been seen in prior sets; however, each card has a spooky Pumpkin Pikachu logo in the corner of the illustration box, differentiating them from the original printing of the card.

The 2024 Trick or Trade cards are reprints of cards from Pokemon Scarlet & Violet sets, from Paldea Evolved, right up until the more recently released Twilight Masquerade. Each card has the set code and number from its original printing, but also features the Pumpkin Pikachu image in the bottom right of its illustration box. You’ll see this on the images of each card below:
Pokemon Trick Or Trade 2024 Card List
As mentioned, each card in Trick or Trade sets retains their original set code and number, so instead of listing cards in numerical order (as would normally be the case), we’ve instead opted for a chronological list, with cards in the order they appeared in their sets, separated into the sets they were originally printed in (and their three letter set code). What Is The Purpose Of Trick Or Trade Sets?
Trick or Trade sets were introduced in 2022, as a fun way alternative to handing out sugary snacks to kids on Halloween; instead of chocolate and lollipops, you give the trick or treaters a Pokemon booster pack or two! A new set has been available each year; take a look at our Trick or Trade 2023 card list to see what was available in the previous set.
What’s New In The 2024 Trick Or Trade Set?
There are 10 holo foil cards to be found in the Trick or Trade set for 2024, and these all have the spectacular and highly desirable galaxy holo foil treatment! It’s great to see the set featuring one of the best, and most aesthetically pleasing holo foil designs, especially as it’s not exactly expensive to pick up these cards, even if you’re buying them individually from sites such as TCG Player or eBay.
It’s worth noting that the recently introduced Loyal Three (Fezandipiti, Munkidori and Okidogi) all appear as cards in 2024’s Trick or Trade set, and these may well become among the most highly sought after cards from this year’s spooky set!
The BOOster Bundle for 2024 has, disappointingly, seen quite a significant drop in size; though it contains 35 packs of 3 cards (for 105 cards included in total), 2023’s Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle was 50 packs of 3 cards!
Why Do These Specific Pokemon Appear In The Trick Or Trade Set?
Generally, due to the Halloween theme, you’ll find spooky Pokemon, such as Psychic or Dark type Pokemon, appearing in Trick or Trade sets. However, it’s not just ghosts and ghoulish Pokemon in these sets; you’ll also find certain popular Starter Pokemon, for example (Sprigatito and Quaxly, to name just two in the 2024 set); it’s also notable that Pikachu will always make an appearance and pop up in these sets too!
Are Trick Or Trade Pokemon Cards Worth Collecting?
Though the odd one or two cards may hold or increase in value, it’s quite easy and cost effective, in general, to collect an entire Trick or Trade set. Thanks to the Pumpkin Pikachu ‘stamp’, they’re easy to identify and the sets are small, but they’re not likely to be a good investment if your primary interest is to make money or only collect the highest value Pokemon cards.
Instead, they’re a fun way to collect slightly scary Pokemon, an easy way for kids to collect an entire set without having to spend hundreds of dollars, and an excellent alternative to handing out sugary sweets to children at Halloween. Though of course there’s the possibility that receiving these cards may kickstart a lifelong Pokemon addiction for kids that have never opened a booster pack before, at least their teeth will be in less danger!
Where Can I Buy Pokemon Trick Or Trade 2024 Cards?
You can purchase Trick or Trade BOOster Bundles from Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy or other retailers, but if you’re after specific cards, TCG Player, Cardmarket or eBay are all good options. So there you have it: the full list and details of each card in the 2024 Pokemon Trick or Trade set!
